I'm going to try and get another couple of ex-player articles written during the close season following on from yesterday's on Dobbo.
Any suggestions as to who you would like including?

Billy Rodaway, not the best but became a bit of a cult hero when crowd got behind him,if memory serves me right he was once linked with City after an upturn in form. Be interesting to revisit his period and the era we were in.

Johnny Price.....who can forget Johnny Price ?......
Never stood a chance behind Ralphy and Ian Towers......but scored that memorable goal against Liverpool in '64/'65 in what was a most undeserved 1-5 defeat.

I can't remember Billy Hamilton ever visiting the club since he left. You see the others doing HT draws and reunions etc. But I suppose he is based in Ireland and its not just a case of driving over. I met him once. I passed his trophy shop in NI and decided to call in on the off chance. As I was there he came through the front door with a box of trophies. Really nice bloke. This was in the days before camera phones so much to my regret I didn't get a photo.

We know a lot about most of these. I would like an article on Remco van der Schaaf. What happened?
Steven Defour might be another.

O'Neil, Irvine & James all heroes to me, but I'd like to read about 3 more of my favourites who are probably 'unsung heroes' - Doug Collins, Geoff Nulty & Jim Thomson.

I did a little piece in the London Clarets mag. on Brian O’ Neil inspired by his daughter flagging up his birthday on Facebook.
I found a really great picture of Brian with George Best staring enviously in his direction. I captioned the photo “One of the World’s best footballers & George Best”
