Accy Clarets are sponsoring this game. Probably an easy win for the home team but hopefully not!

It’s another very young T20 side out for the House tomorrow. Mixture of injuries and unavailability but a good chance for them to play and show their worth just like Jack Simm did last week. It’s certainly not a home banker though.

I might even buy Leisure a pint.
Possibly.

Unfortunately but not unexpected, Rishton lost. However, we had a great evening and the buffet was excellent.

Just looking at tonight's scores
Greenmount scored 268/6 in their 20 overs against Tod and won by 117 runs. That's some score in a t20 innings.

Tod's reply would have been a decent score in a T20 game too

Leisure. I did offer to get you a pint.
I think that your polite decline was based on the fact that if it was my choice of beverage you would be incapacitated for a number of weeks, if not months.
As for the cricket the visitors got a good start with the bat but got a bit bogged down until the bloke with number 1 on his back took advantage of the short boundary. If he had stayed until the end Lowerhouse would have a total to chase.
Another big crowd saw us knock the runs off with few alarms.
A Worsley Cup tie at home and then a trip to Littleborough on.Sunday. Sounds like a plan.

The buffet is always brilliant in the sponsors, although the tea room is on the brink of falling down, the food is really good to be fair.
Glad you had a good night though! Was a little warm inside, I decided to get myself home at 9:30, keep myself in the good books so I can go out again today

Background on the tea room:
Burnley Express 27th April, 1921
“Pleasing Prelude
At Lowerhouse on Saturday, the match was preceded in the presence of a good company, by a pleasing little ceremony, the tea room being opened by Capt. Sherston who made an excellent little speech. A vote of thanks to the gallant Captain and the ladies was passed.
The tea room, a converted army hut, kindly given by Col. Dugdale, will supply a long felt want. A band of willing club workers have made a great transformation. The floor is carpeted, a number of tables at which 4 persons can sit have been provided and with paint etc., the place has been made attractive and cosy.
A bar has been erected. In the back portion large numbers can be accommodated at larger tables. The lady caterers on Saurday had a busy time.”
Capt. Sherston was Col. Dugdale’s brother in law, and was badly wounded in the war.
The Committee Report for season 1926 however states “We have had a new tea room erected, this building will be a great asset to the club, by having the tea room in a place of its own gives the Social Club members use of the full length of the army hut, before this alteration the club room was far too small for the members to obtain their refreshments in comfort.”
There used to be 3 terraced houses in Stella Corner.
