Is this all 56% of Radrizzani's shares or just enough to give 49ers Enterprises a sufficient majority - with a view to accquiring the rest once Premier League football is attained in the future?

All of it , according to the legendary Simon Jordon .
Although they haven’t mentioned it since so maybe it’s all a dream

Wouldn’t it be absolutely ACE if Leeds went all the way down to nothing? Ceased to exist I mean. Tremendous.

Bit of a myth Leeds in 2023 I think. Attendances were “massive” in lower leagues but c35k is very average in the PL.

Stadium is a shack that will generate very little commercial income and is going to need huge redevelopment if they are to compete financially long term at the level they think they are at.

I think off the field they are a long long way off where they want to be.

It's probably near that. As much as I can't stand their fans, they do have a lot of season ticket holders.

Newcastle: 36,955
Leicester: 36,666
Liverpool: 36,657

Proves they are nowhere near as big as they think they are…

Leeds United 170 million

Man United 5 billion

Here you go

They tend to do ok in the PL and championship, but they're a one club city so you'd expect them to do well, bit like Sunderland, Newcastle etc.

In league one there was a drop, down to 20-25k ish because it's league one.
I recall them having to close part of the ground a good few years ago, when in league one or the championship, they just weren't selling enough tickets to warrant having it open

They SHOULD have more than they do. Their home support is shocking for the size of the place. They are a massive city and share it with no-one. They have a huge catchment area. Their ground is awful, with only one - yes ONE - two tier stand, and that stand wasn’t always open during the league one and championship years.

Say this to yourselves in a “Ricky Tomlinson” style.

Big club my arse…

Apparently they were valued at 400 million when in premier league but 49's said they would only pay 170million when they were relegated. The owner will still have made millions on the deal.

Was reading an interesting piece on Leeds yesterday. The stadium has been virtually untouched since Bates sold it. A reporter was saying visiting even the home end was like going to a game in the 80’s, not even the plumbing has changed…

It needs several millions spending on it for it to approach reasonable. A lot of the concrete is crumbling… the list goes on.

The club has been used and abused for thirty year… they know the fans will go anyway. Never met a Leeds fan I liked, but they really have been treated very shoddily for many years by ‘their club’.

Going to be interesting how much is put into necessary maintenance, and how much is left for staff.

Same here - a nicer lad you couldn’t meet although he does have a look about him that makes some people wary of him!

Living o’er this side of the hill, I know plenty Leeds fans and plenty of them are scrotes at best.

I’m not a fan of Leeds although some respect has to be given to their support. If they get the right owners in place, they have great potential and particularly when they redevelop Elland Road, which they will do of course, at some point.

The problem for clubs like Leeds, with aspirations perhaps above their station (a big ish club with a pretty moderate history in the main) is that the ship that they expect to be sailing on left port twenty odd years ago.

Unless they get a mega bucks owner (how many are left?) they’ll never achieve what they all want - not many will.

Quite like Elland Rd to be honest. It's old, but I like that, and there aren't too many grounds as big as it left that are old throwbacks. Commercially speaking it's outdated, of course, and probably not the most fan-friendly ground in modern football, but in an ideal world not every ground would be of the uniform Lego brick corporate enterprise variant. You need the dirty old shitholes to make football feel special, grounded, and not some indifferent, detached spectacle, and it's better when they're big — not the kind of grounds that struggle to pull in 5k on a Tuesday night down in the doldrums.

Look. I get that you are still a bit ****** off because we won the league in your own back yard, but if you are going to engage people in discussion, try a little harder to do it without going out of your way to insult them. (And YES, I see the irony in that)

Yes, we KNOW the capacity is about 38k and they can’t sell more tickets than that…. That is not in dispute.

What IS in dispute is their self proclaimed “biggest club in Europe” title that they bandy about at every given opportunity. They went down to league one for a while, and the attendances plummeted so far, they even regularly closed the top tier of their ONLY two tier stand. I’ve been on Bellend rd for a championship game and the top tier was closed. That’s absolutely shocking. That’s NOT the support expected of the ‘mighty’ Leeds Utd. A one club city with the worlds largest catchment area.

Their support is no better than any other average sized club in the country, and certainly no better than ours. The numbers support that.

It isn't that long since Leeds were just over 16k at home, you could argue their home support compares very poorly with all other major cities and even more so when you consider them a 1 team City

Well, fingers crossed that they do. They’ve got to get out of the Championship first though, not an easy task, especially next season. Oh how I’m wishing already, that they fail in the play-offs.
