I am scuba diver and put one in Capernwray. had to drill holes in the base as they float. Its in the Gnome garden about 15 meters down near the head of one of the giant gnomes
The instructor (B'stard season ticket holder) who I dived with took it back out at a later date and painted a B'stard's shirt on it and my name on the back.
Took me a year to realise what he had done it. I couldn't find my Burnley gnome and I spotted it

The banter and prank was brilliant I couldn't remove it after that, always makes me laugh when I see it

I have 4. I've noticed this year's are noticeably smaller than previously [263mm against 300mm]. However, this year's smaller gnome is carrying a flag which brings the piece up to 293mm. It's not a problem, it's not a moan. If I were to moan [a bit], I would offer up that the paint they use isn't as UV stable as I 'd like and the gnomes require a re-coat each year, which I thoroughly enjoy. In short [

], I love them, wish I had the full set. Anybody who doesn't have at least one Burnley garden gnome....well, I can't take them seriously as true Clarets.

Under my anti-kitsch legislation, people caught with gnomes on public display in their front gardens will have them confiscated. Repeat offenders will have their homes confiscated.
I know decent people would like to go further, maybe life imprisonment, but that's way too harsh for a second offence. Rendering repeat offenders homeless should serve as a deterrent. So think on.

Ended up getting one at 1pm lasted 15 mins in my garden before my Staffordshire bull terrier wrapped it round my neighbours head, she’s now in intensive care.

I have a couple in the garden. Gifts from relatives. They are both in claret and blue because they are playing in gnome shirts.
I'll get my coat.
