That’s a good one

should do well.
Might not see much game time but Orient fans speak extremely highly of him. Good to know we’ve got decent cover.

More than adequate replacement for Will Norris, and I assume he appreciates he is joining us as No 3 keeper. Be interesting to see what happens on the GK front as I think the aim is to have two very good GK's now we are in the Prem, battling for the shirt and keeping each other on their toes

Good instinctive saves on that video and also looks to have decent distribution too!

Welcome Lawrence.
Solid backup option by the sounds of it - Leyton Orient fans raving about him. Don't think he'll be the only keeper through the door this summer either.

Is there another article already written for the 3rd signing that was close last week?

After watching the obligatory video ,the guy looks extremely agile, don’t think it showed what he was like on high balls into the box though.

My old neighbour is an O’s fan and he says he’s a quality keeper but he’s not sure he’s Prem level. Solid backup though I’d imagine and he’s on a free.

Has to be an upgrade to Franchi and previously Norris in terms of a third choice keeper. He seems a lovely lad from his interview video and comes well regarded from his previous club - can't say fairer than that really.

He is a 29 year old with only 150 games in the lower leagues under his belt.
If he is to replace Norris that’s fair enough. Will he replace Muric and BPF ? Doubtful. Will Muric or/and BPF leave ? who knows
As I said things will become clearer eventually. VK usually has a plan

It’s pretty obvious that he’s to replace Norris isn’t it?

At 29 years old he's approaching the peak age for a goalkeeper.
As for his pedigree, Tom Heaton and Nick Pope came from teams just relegated to the third tier so if Vincent is happy, so am I.
Welcome to Burnley Lawrence!

Yes, I'm scratching my head on this one aswell. Twenty nine year old with a background in League 2 but as has been pointed out by others, we await the bigger picture....incomings/outgoings.

I've seen him a few times when Orient played Stevenage. He's more than decent could probably play now for a bottom half Championship team.
Premier League? That's a big ask I'd say as it is now. Coming as number 3 /2 keeper will learn and improve obviously maybe a Carabao Cup game or two.
The move must make financial sense of course.

What kind of wage would you expect a back up squad member signed from Orient on a free to be on ?

Some of us were underwhelmed when Pope signed, that turned out OK, I trust VK and the management.

I'd be surprised if anyone who'd been in the crowd behind Nick Pope at the Valley Stadium in May 2016 would have been underwhelmed.

Can't believe some on here a questioning him. Pope signed from a relegated Charlton to League One has gone on to represent England several times and now acclaimed as one of the best PL GK's

Tom Heaton had just been relegated to League One too at Bristol City.

Pope and Heaton both were already playing championship football for at least a year so really not to be compared.
However, this guy is no slouch and he wouldn't come here without the chance, albeit small of being first choice. He's very well regarded by Orient fans and I've even saw Liverpool fans say he's a good keeper.
Kompany and ten Rouwelaar will give anyone the chance if they think they're good enough. We're not with Dyche anymore who clearly signed players as backup.
