Stay out of the lap dancers afterwards, or all winnings will be lost. :D

There on Friday night if anyone has any tips for that - usually 2 and 3 have a good chance with the short course as they get the inside run.

Be prepared to meet lots of Blackburn fans with binoculars and cameras.

Low drawn horses are always a good call at Chester. My tip is to stay out of the city after the meeting has finished and I'll be sticking to it. It's a party city and weekends are lively most of the year but throw a summer evening race meet into the equation and it can get a bit crazy.

Chester is well known as a Favourites course. Just bang £20 on each favourite and see if you are showing a profit at the end of the racing.

Whilst I have been extremely bored watching these two Aussies about to bat forever, I have placed a two pound bet on each of the pre race favourites.
I will report back later to advise if I have returned any profit.

If you pick a winner stick to champagne and leave the Chester Perry alone.

Here are the results of my favourite backing experiment today. I staked £2 on each favourite today. Outlay £14, returns £23.50. So if OP had staked £20 each race on favourites he would have ended up with over £90 profit. Not a bad return and would have paid for admission and beers on the day.

At £6.50 a pint it wouldn’t have covered me

I got a couple of decent priced winners in thought on Friday night and walked away nearly £300 up (probably about £200 up if I took out beers and admission etc out)
