Not one from a bag or box, what is your go to snack, be it with beer, wine or just a brew ? Mine is a digestives biscuit almost a slice of salted butter on it, a slice of cheese, any cheese preferably a soft cheese like brie or a nice stilton then a dollop of mango chutney just polishing a plateful off now, got the ambulance on speed dial. What's yours ?

The question is what do you throw together from the fridge or cupboard, I love dry rated peanuts and pork scratchings but they are from a bag etc. I sometimes fry a load of bacon from the butchers, dice it and have it on home made melba toast, delicious.

Apologies, didn't get the gist of the rules. You threw me bfcjg when you said not from a bag or box but then opted for a digestive buscuit

Blackcurrant instead of liquorice - - soft instead of hard. What kind of southern sweets are these?

4 slices of black pudding (Chadwicks, obviously). Fried in olive oil.
2 with English mustard, 2 with lots of white pepper.
On a side plate with buttered toast and a mug of strong tea.
Last thing before bed. Sleep like a rat after that.

A Warburton's loaf
A six pack of Walkers plain crisps
Lurpack ( not the spreadable stuff the really hard stuff that's difficult to spread)
Put them together with a nice Australian Shiraz and away you go.
Heaven.
And if you have it regularly that's where you will be going

Small amount of rice krispies with "top of the milk" cream from Guernsey milk.
Failing that, rice krispies topped with home made egg custard.
Delicious!
