Interested to see what happens with this lad this season. Do we know if he's featured in any of the pre-season games?

You make a very decent point there.
Sorry for my frivolous remark.

I was looking forward to seeing what he was about. Hopefully he’s back before the season ends.

Has it been confirmed that he suffered an ACL ?

Real shame for any footballer once of a day career over nowadays with modern surgical techniques often very positive outcomes.
I wonder why there isn't a guard or strapping that will protect knees in the same way as shin guards protect shins.

Nothing to suggest it is an ACL other than a random pair above.

dont think you can stop ACL injuries unless you played in a brace over the knee. Besides i recall Vokes doing his by landing awkwardly from heading a ball against Leicester and we had a keeper (forgot his name) who came out to pick up the ball and dropped like a stone with an ACL rupture when we were in Division 2 (old 3rd Division)

Didn’t Danny Coyne do his mid-game?

Danny Coyne did his ACL against Brighton on the Turf

Have had both of mine rupture. Horrible injury but the difference between the recovery of my first one in 1998 compared to the one last year was incredible. Things really have moved on.

Though I do wonder if celebrating a goal by the knee slide, putting maximum pressure on the knees when they are most stretched, can be a good idea.

Did mine in 2019 as a result of me making the most innocuous tackle whilst playing 5 a side. I think it's just bad luck really as opposed to be preventable, all about the twist (or in my case, hyper extension).

Definitely when we were at home
Came off his goal line to pick up the ball under no pressure and dropped like a stone

He got a bad knee injury at QPR in 2004/05 but then suffered his ACL in the Brighton home game early in 2005/06. He’d never had an injury worth bothering about until the first of them and then the two of them in under a year.
