I wasn't expecting a signing announcement so early in the day - don't know much about him to be honest but it looks a potentially exciting signing

Interesting that on the club announcement he is quoted if I am reading it right that there has been dialogue with him during the last two months.
Certainly seems that he has been a priority, great that it has been kept so quiet until virtually at the end.

Shows even if us fans no nothing deals don't just happen in a week of the player being linked, even signings out of the blue take a couple of months to arrange.

The thing that strikes me with this signing is just how much this one has gone under the radar! I seem to remember a few of our signings last year also being this way.
Does this identify just how inaccurate some/most/all of the numerous ‘transfer rumours’ are?

One thing that's interesting is that he only scored twice before Jan 22nd but ended the season having scored 26 goals notably twice against Nice, twice against Fiorentina (in two different matches) and twice against Romania. 24 goals in the last 35 games of a 58 game season! I'm not surprised we didn't get him in earlier, his last game was 1st of July.

The same could be said about last summers signings, even Vinny himself. Certainly looks an exciting prospect and amazing how quickly it all happened after the initial news broke. Looks like We can all go back to trusting Sacha again after his Verbruggen faux pas. Does make you think that a lot of the transfer noise is designed to throw our rivals off the scent because he looks much more a West Ham/Wolves type signing than “little ole Burnley”.

Interestingly if the figure of €18 mil is accurate surely that would be transfer record equaling or above in sterling, yet not mentioned! Clearly either the figures mentioned are inaccurate or our record had already been broken and will be announced soon on another transfer maybe

The PL was new to us then and the quality of most of the players we signed at that time was unlike that of now.
Juke was one of them and just didn’t have the strength or mobility to outwit defences. The chances he got he usually snatched at resulting in him getting little power in his efforts.
