The singers 'singer' according to many.
I remember him more for standing up for civil rights. A true gentleman, and a sad loss.
RIP Tony

Good singer.
96 is a ripe old age. He seemed to have a career that lasted decades.

Being the youngest in the family the songs of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Vic Damone, Perry Como and the greatest of them all for me, Bobby Darin were drip fed to me. Some iconic tunes from Tony Bennett though and as alluded to earlier, a good man. RIP Tony Bennett.

Saw him at the Palace Theatre , Manchester way back early 70'.
Not sure why as I was into Pink Floyd , Led Zep and all that.
It was a matinee performance and he was clearly just going through the motions.
Still , a class act.

I somehow can’t imagine a Led Zep fan rushing to see Tony Bennett.

His talent was recently embraced by Lady GaGa, and I always feel there’s something special about an individual (that maybe I didn’t get) when serious modern talent asks one of the old generation to perform with them.

RIP Tony Bennett.

I had tickets to go and see him a few years or so ago in Vegas but ended up being in hospital instead so missed out, still gutted about it.

I never listened to any of his music to appreciate the talent he possessed, but he must have been talented for so many people to like him & being in the business for the time that he did, RIP Tony Bennett.
