It's my mum's birthday today, and not just any birthday, had she still been with us she would have been celebrating her 100th birthday.

She passed away over 19 years ago and I don't think a day goes by when I don't think of her and don't miss her so I suppose today I'll have to do things her way and listen to Shirley Bassey and the soundtrack from South Pacific.

It would have been our little Grandson Joey’s 4th Birthday today, we lost him at 11 months. Not a day goes by without thinking about what he would be doing now. Happy Birthday Joey and Mrs Scholes.

Went to mum's Saturday morning for dinner. Got up to go sooner than I needed to. Mum said

"Would you like some apple pie?"

"No thank you."

"Not even with some ice cream?"

"No thank you."

Last time I saw her, and a few days later the longest drive home from London I will ever have.

Thanks for the reminder, Tony, mothers never stop trying.

Lost Mum last February at 92. Same as you CT Think about her and miss her everyday.

I am fortunate that I celebrated her 99th Birthday with my Mum in June and just know she will make the Century!

I can't hear 'Some Enchanted Evening' without remembering my mum singing it to herself. She loved South Pacific too. She died 14 years ago and would have been 96 now.

We only get one mum.
