Re: Brun Larsen
Some weeks ago, when I said I was ready for three signings, they were Vigouroux, O'Shea and Larsen. For a short time, I thought I had an exclusive but then it didn't happen. Looks as though it's potentially back on but nothing confirmed by either club.

Re: Brun Larsen
Sacha T says it's done and he's joined up with the team and it's a mandatory purchase at the end of the season (but hasn't given a price)

Re: Brun Larsen
Just looked him up on Wikipedia.
His name is Jacob Bruun Larsen. I assume “Bruun Larsen” is his surname, though someone may be able to correct me.

If he’s named after the local river he’ll do for me.

Re: Brun Larsen
Seems highly unlikely tella will be coming in if we’re bringing in this guy along with the other forward/wide players we’ve already signed. Especially when you consider Townsend is also playing with the squad.
Re: Brun Larsen
Kompany likes to have four wingers in the matchday squad so the first two can be subbed by the next two. Because of injuries, we need more than 4 to be able to do that for a full season.

Re: Brun Larsen
I think Koleosho is expecting to be around the 1st team match day squads by listening to his interview. Think he'll be on the bench quite a lot so that's four then Townsend and Bruun Larsen too I'd expect

Re: Brun Larsen
Assuming we sell Weghorst, Foster (and Zaroury) out for Afcon, Obafemi injured for a good while yet - that would only leave us with Jay and Amdouni who could play striker, we know Tella can play anywhere.......Iloveyoubrady wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 11:53 pmSeems highly unlikely tella will be coming in if we’re bringing in this guy along with the other forward/wide players we’ve already signed. Sell Foster? I doubt it.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2023 1:06 amAssuming we sell Weghorst, Foster (and Zaroury) out for Afcon, Obafemi injured for a good while yet - that would only leave us with Jay and Amdouni who could play striker, we know Tella can play anywhere.......

I don't expect Bruun Larsen to play a big role. More as a backup player like Bastien was last season. He's talented but it's not a player who could start for us in the league, at least not at the moment. Same goes for Koleosho who's only 18. At the moment we have 3 decent wingers, not enough for this level.

Re: Brun Larsen
Presume Vinny managed him while at Anderlecht? Which would mean he knows what he can do . Never heard of him but clearly plays at a decent level , squad player perhaps ?

Re: Brun Larsen
YouTube hunting shows he is capable of the odd spectacular goal. A really nice lob for Dortmund, a belting free kick for Anderlecht and a stunning overhead volley for Hoffenheim.
His style of play says to me that we perhaps see him as the long term replacement for JBG in this squad, in my opinion. Gudmundsson clearly has a big role to still play this season but the reality is that he is 33 in 3 months. It's good to see we're perhaps looking to the long term and potential replacements for stalwarts like him.

Re: Brun Larsen
Maybe I'm in the minority but I think of all our midfielders and forwards, Gudmundsson is one who could be replaced. Good player, lots of experience, a bit of versatility but it's a spot where I just feel we'll bring in someone else. He isn't going to play wide and I think we'll have other options more centrally.
