If it can overcome a poor draw I'm hoping Lord Riddiford can win it for a third time. It's not shown much recently but its surely been trained specifically for this race.

Lumping on Kinross to bounce back after a few disappointing runs.

I follow John Quinn’s horses and last year was fantastic. I hope LR runs well tomorrow, I don’t think the stable has hit top form so far but here’s hoping.

John Quinn’s magic works again.Despite it drifting in the market LR won very well.I hope you got the SP, very happy with 8-1.

My only previous winner on the day was Kinross at c. evens so I decided to do Quickthorn each way (at 20/1). I wasn't too impressed when it went so far clear but, blimey, how well it hung on.
Nice to get the winnings but also great to see a piece of bravery like that come off.

I’ll make an educated guess that anybody putting a £50 double on the horses loses a lot more than they win.
Well done for today though !

Saw the Quickthorn race - madness.
Badly judged by the other jockeys though and there will be a lot of angry owners who targeted such a big race. It’s not like everyone did not know what Quickthorn was going to do.

Always take BOG when available. Another of Quinn’s horses running tomorrow at Goodwood, Breege who ran a great race in the Sandringham at Ascot and came second at 33/1.

Not today. Was the only bet i did at goodwood
Festival racing is a lottery as shown with some of the high priced winners
Also had a tip at Galway that landed on its first race. Really good day tbh

Having a little bet on another from up t'north in this race, Karl Burke's Fast Response. I like the look of it's last run in a Listed race at Chester.

Help, the Stewards Cup, I love this race but as usual I haven't a clue what might win it. My lucky pin is currently hovering over Spanish Star and Aleezdancer but it's just guesswork for me. Does anyone have any strong fancies for this race, I need all the help I can get.

Mr Wagyu was in my tracker but I've followed it over the cliff too often and given up to it. Which is possibly foolish as it's now dangerously well handicapped. I'll be tearing my hair out if it wins, but it wouldn't surprise me.

The going for today is currently given as "good to soft, soft in places". Looks like further drizzle this am and possibility of thundery showers later so maybe more soft than good-soft by this afternoon.
Looking for decent horses that have a good record in these conditions- I'm tempted to go with the favourite Orazio. Having said which 4/1 odds in a race like this isnt greatly attractive.

As a follower of Mr Quinn you must have had a Glorious Goodwood Carnsmerry, he certainly wasn't sending his horses down just for fun was he. Ruined by the weather really, hopefully it will be better for you at the end of August. Now looking for mudlarks at Haydock this afternoon, which is never quite as straightforward as it seems, but nowt in racing ever is.

Except backing JJ's horses at Goodwood that is.

Hi EOB2, yes Goodwood went well for Quinn and his team. I started following his runners in 2017, he had 2 runners at the Derby meeting and I backed both. El Astronaute and Reputation were the horses and Reputation won at 28-1.Since then unless I am at a meeting I just back Quinn horses when I think they are good value. It’s interesting looking at the entries list etc, just a bit of fun really.
