Yorkshire is just up the road from us (along with Cumbria)
Very confusing up near Kirkby Lonsdale, as you nip in and out of all three counties

Ah Yorkshire, I remember it well. Those childhood memories:
Padlock on the dustbin, teabags on the washing line.

Being of Yorkshire stock, I'll be enjoying my brew extra special today.
It's nice to know that Burnley is, always has been, and always will be, a little bit Yorkshire.

I've tried to embrace Yorkshire day today.... so far I've
* Told the people of Dublin that it's not a patch on Bradford.... I ensured that they didn't ask for my opinion, before I informed them of this.
* Poked fun at a couple of my fellow foreign people - they seemed to take offence, but I told them it's just banter.
* Put all the tea bags in the bin, as they're not Yorkshire tea
Am I doing it right?

Currently sat in the drizzle in Sedbergh hoping for some cricket. Although now in Cumbria it used to be in Yorkshire. Hoping for a Lancashire win of course.

How do you know if someone is from Yorkshire? They'll tell you.

You can tell when it's cold in Yorkshire, they have their hands in their own pockets for once.

I did the Three Peaks last year, and I'm convinced - from the OS map I have anyway - that the trig point for Whernside is in Cumbria.
I suppose 'The two peaks of Yorkshire and one of Cumbria' doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Why did they introduce the 50p coin?
So you can get it out of a Yorkshire manβs hand with a spanner.

I think youβre right. The wall along the top is the border and the trig point is on the Cumbria side. The other side of the wall is still the highest part of Yorkshire though.

Proud Lancastrian here, but the Yorkshire Dales has to be one of the nicest areas in this or any country for that matter.

Today's the day when the Yorkshire Tea Company make their biggest profits, as every true blooded Yorkshireman celebrates with a brand new teabag.

Lancashire born but living in Yorkshire led to innumerable lively debates with local mates until my now wife's uncle brought us to silence by pointing out that every Yorkshireman's knows the second best county is Lancashire and vica versa. When all present disputed this theory he explained: You lads will argue for hours over which county is the better, but if someone from Derbyshire or Hampshire tried to claim that their county was better than either Yorkshire or Lancashire you wouldn't argue with them for 30 seconds, laugh at them maybe, but you'd not trouble yourself to argue with someone that deluded

Janet I was there too - absolutely tipping down in Windermere this morning.
Not sure the church flying the Yorkβs flag outside the ground went down well yesterday.
Good to meet two clarets Chris and Keith!

Pity about the weather yesterday after Lancashire took those 2 early wickets!
