Those lot down the road…

… In a bit of bother aren’t they!

Seems like they’re starting a bit of a fire sale?

Manager looks like he could walk, some fans don’t seem to mind others think they’re looking down the barrel of administration!

Have to say I am enjoying it mind, is that wrong of me?

No need to worry about them, they have a plan to buy for around £1m a striker to score 20 goals next season and get them promoted.

Terrible luck for them really, considering they were running away with The Championship just under a year ago

Just came across this. I was checking out their very weak squad and saw Ashley Phillips still listed mistakenly thinking he’d signed for Spurs.

My generation had to grow up being told constantly about the title winning side of 1960 and how great they were.

The Orient game was 27 years after winning the top flight and 11 years since we had played in that division.

It's now more than 28 years since Blackburn bought the Premier League and 11 years since they played in it!!!

I live in hope that one day they're groundsharing with Darwen and their biggest and best day is occasionally scabbing a draw against Colne in the only East Lancs derby most of their fans will ever witness again.

But other than that, all the best to them.

Somebody who've I've had the misfortune to spend some time with is in the power corridors of Darwen FC, and he's also the most arrogant b*****d fan you could meet.

Success doesn't always bring happiness.

Sheffield United are grumbling because they haven't had a good transfer window, even though they got promoted last season.

Blackburn fans got to see the league title being clinched at their own ground and yet *they're* whingeing too.

What's it all about, eh?

A couple of years ago some expert on their forum was convinced that when Dyche left, that was it for Burnley.
He must have been absolutely seething last season.

So they could have had £5m, held out for £9m, and got £2m? Fine work. Makes the £200k they tossed away by restricting Burnley tickets seem like petty cash.

I've said this before and I'll say it again.
A b*****d fan I worked with briefly about 20 years ago never tired of telling me about the street parties that were planned over shadsworth way had we lost the Orient game.
I feel the same amount of sympathy for them now as they did for us back then.

I agree as long as it’s a slow painful process. Don’t want them to pop too quickly. A nice slow demise and then tripping into non league would be so much better.

I'd like them wiped off the face of the earth, they could reform as Darwen and Blackburn Olympic or something like that playing at Darwen. On the way to the ground da Shadswuf massive could call into the ASDA situated on Ewood Park to buy their teeth braces and extra strong lager.

I'd like them to almost go bust to the point where a phoenix club is created. But then someone rescues the original club at the last second by paying what the club is worth. (24 pence.)

But by this point the phoenix club has already been established so there's two teams calling themselves Blackburn Rovers. Both teams have to begin at tier fourteen, playing each other whenever they aren't playing the Dog & Duck and The King's Armpit.

This way I can double the glee I'll get when both Blackburn Rovers sides eventually fade away to total nothingness and when Burnley clad sons and daughters ask their parents who they supported, they're too ashamed to even say the words Blackburn Rovers.

I could imagine a whole Saw series of ways I'd like Rovers to end up!

To be fair to that expert, there were plenty on here that thought the exact same! In fact those that didn’t were in the minority of truth be known.

This evening my neighbour asked me a favour, which I agreed then found out, we were going to pick something up near their ground. I couldn’t let her down. We missed the turning and had to turn around in the car park, where I got her to stop the car and I wound down the window and launched a gob full of spit towards the stand, using expletives my neighbour shouldn’t have to hear. But I felt so much better, after frothing at the mouth at the thought of being near the place for the first time in probably 30 years.

He was never seen much after being Bashleyed. At least he won’t have to face him next season.

For me (and I'm sure many other Clarets) it was the sheer gobsh**te arrogance of them for many years while uncle Jack financially pampered them. I'll never forget that.

So I couldn't give a flying fcuk what happens to them as long as it involves a whole heap of suffering.

Even now some of them are still berating the Venkys 'give us our roverrrrs back' ; 'get out of our club' type nonsense. These terrible owners are the ones that have thrown millon's in and continue to do so. The only reason you exist is because of the Venkys you absolute whoppers.

Winning the title there last season was the biggest slice of karma ever. But of course they had to spoil that for many of us, with their petty ticketing fiasco. But that just sums them up. They sure like to dish it out but they certainly do not like it back up 'em.

So please don't post any nonsense of feeling sorry for them. What comes around goes around. Fcuk 'em.

We should stick the knife in a bit and offer 1.5m for Wharton, especially when they seem to think he is a 30m midfielder.

Wouldn’t want to see any club go bust, even them. Everything else though is fair game.

I went to school and 6th form in Blackburn from ‘91-‘98. It was torture.

Preston fans got their nickname spot on....the plastics, due to how many fans they lost to them when walker started pumping money in.
I was not surprised when quite a few of the gobsh#tes that had dished it out at work when we were in trouble did not renew their s/t when they went down.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket for deadwood last season but know quite a few fans who nowadays follow burnley far more than I do but missed out, when I mention this to the few blackburn fans I see they get great pleasure in the fact that in their eyes it was fan pressure that caused blackburn to reduce ticket allocation......horrible fans, horrible club!

They are all mouth. There might have been a pee up in the pub, but as for street parties? Well, that would take a degree of planning. Mind you, I suppose an old settee dragged into the middle of the road would constitute a street party on Shads.

Their playing budget has been reduced.

Due to 15m losses every year.
Letting their 2 best players walk away for free.
India raising taxes from 5% to 20% for exported money.
Brentford keeper not being sold, where they were expecting 10m from their clause.

Their manager has been trying to get another job, but nobody has offered him one, according to Nixon.

And their first choice keeper moving to Luton
And their star defender who they thought would move for £10m leaving for £2m due to a release clause

Doesn't sound too promising to me.....

This is the thing

That doesn't bother me that much, because it was televised it meant we all saw it, and millions saw it as well, saw how pathetic they are when they aren't the top dogs anymore

it does not get better than winning the league on your rivals ground, and both they and us will never forget that

I don't want to see them go out of business...where's the long term fun in that. However, a spell in the Northern Premier League, playing at Darwen's ground would do just nicely.
