That's a fantastic read. I've always thought he "had something about him" but he's gone even higher in my estimation reading that.

"you had a few idiots on the Internet chatting ****. Who cares? The real supporters have your back"
I have to say, I think he's always come across really well but that was brilliant, cheers for posting Longsidebovril !

Heās absolutely right when he said he looked into the stands at WBA away on a Wednesday night and thought āthese are the real fansā.
Itās far too easy for anyone now to act like a fan, go on Twitter and put MUFC in your bio and change your picture to Bruno Fernandes and suddenly youāre a Man United fan.
Iāll never respect Glory seeker fans and their football opinion deep down, I think itās truly wrong we have people born and raised in Burnley whilst claiming to support other clubs.
I think it goes against everything football is, being proud of where youāre from and the tribalism aspect.

Unfortunately, the absolute weapons that NEED to read stuff like this, can't... and we've got our fair share of those.

Always comes across as decent does Ramsdale when he speaks.
Arsenal looking to spend 40m on Raya is one of the weirdest transfers of the summer

An excellent piece. He seems like a sound, well-grounded lad.

Where do non local Burnley fans like what I is fit in your scheme of things?
I could be looked at as a glory hunter as Burnley came to my attention as a result of being on TV in the 1962 Cup Final?

Might be worth giving him a welcome when he comes to the Turf in February? After all, ALL England goalkeepers used to get welcomed as they walked to the nets. Trouble is, his article will probably have been forgotten by then.
Terrific Rammy.

I couldnāt be looked upon as a glory hunter - a crap finder if anything - having started around 82/3.
I wouldnāt change it for the world but I do think that I missed out to a degree by not supporting a local team (even though itās only 22 miles from my house to Turf Moor).
The camaraderie that develops in your younger years, by going to matches with mates who all support the same team, is something that I wish Iād had. As it was, I didnāt know of another Burnley fan until I went to upper school.
Saying all of that, going to the football with my Dad and when he ācame of ageā my Brother, was and continues to be time that I canāt put a value on. Last season being another set of great memories that Iāll cherish for the rest of my days.
It is a little different being an outsider supporting a club but I can assure anyone that whilst I may not be from Burnley, Iām as passionate about the club as a lifelong fan who can see Turf Moor from their front door.

I was speaking more about the Man United/Liverpool fans born and raised in a town like Burnley. I don't think any Burnley fan can be considered a glory seeker and I don't consider non local BFC fans any different to those born local.
