Not wanting to tempt fate after a very wet summer, but next Friday for the City game is looking like sunshine and 22 degrees in Burnley all afternoon.

Met Office forecast - a chance of light showers and the 'feels like' temp is 16C. Let's hope it's not called off.

It’s going to be scorching at 8pm, hope the players are ok. Would be wise to have a drinks break.

On a more deadly serious note, the duck race in Padiham has been cancelled due to heavy rain, grandchildren gutted, especially the eldest who said ducks like water.

Yet the weather hasn't been too bad in Padiham at all thus morning, a bit of light drizzle...
