Not them who beat Walsall last night, that's for sure.

A home tie would be good against Bolton or Wrexham and get a decent crowd on.Have we ever faced Salford?

On the subject of Carabou Cup games, i was at Stevenage V Watford last night. Not the best of games, Stevenage keeper made a couple of good saves towards the end in a game that was decided on penalties. Watford were not very impressive against a side who were in League 2 last season, though i don't know if it was a full strength side. I also had to look up who was manager of the month for Watford, as after defeat last night it could be his last game in charge!
Man of the match last night was an ex Claret in Alex MacDonald on his Stevenage debut.

Watford actually made only one change from the team that had beaten QPR 4-0 last Saturday, and that was the goalkeeper.

Salford or harrogate would put me on 88 away grounds, better still either in both the 2nd and 3rd round to make it 89

QPR must be a really poor side then as Watford didn't look a side that was 2 divisions above Stevenage last season. They had a couple of decent chances towards the end, one on the break and one from a corner, but the keeper was equal to both.

I wouldn't mind Bradford away. Short trip, good away game under the lights and expect a big following & atmosphere from the Clarets.

So many teams in there I’d have loved to play and we get Forest, who we’ll be playing anyway next season. Gutted about that.

I don't think we will have a second string. It looks like Kompany is building a 25 man squad to rotate.

Kompany will make a proper go of both cups, just like last season in a far more hectic campaign and with a far smaller squad. We only got dumped out because we played United and City away too.

They don't like us getting too far - beaten by Man City, Spurs and Man United in last three seasons in this competition.

Fast fingers there Tony!
I keyed the draw in as it happened but my daft memory knew about the previous games, needed to check the scorers though on the two in the 1960s.
