Let’s not forget, as things stand we’re ahead of City in the league!

Definitely looking up rather than down, but as we know it's an unforgiving league with a load of quality. Any team can beat you if you're not on it. I would hazard a guess around 12-15th finish but the aim is obviously staying up so I'd take 17th TBH!

Top half is very unlikely and I don’t think we will go down so 11-17 is my guesstimate

Brentford were 9th on 58 points , Fulham 10th on 55.
I think we will be around that points tally, so I'm going for 10th.

about 13th/14th and that would make a very good season in my opinion

How do you work out it's a weak league?

I’m not putting a limit on ambition and as such will predict top 6.

First season (I think) we've had in the Prem where the preview podcasts haven't had us around or in the bottom three. They've all put us midtable from what I can gather. Bookies have us safe too. It's surreal.

I think top ten isn't unattainable at all.

There's no reason why we can't do well in the first season.

Sheff United did very well under Chris Wilder and only tailed off at the end.

Second season syndrome..that's a worry . However, we flipped that one over with SD and got into Europe.

So who knows where we will finish.

True, although the flip side to that is the bookies and pundits were nearly always wrong about us before too..

14th or 15th but obviously hoping higher. Think
there maybe 4 or 5 teams should finish below
us but who knows.

Quite.

There likely won’t be the **** show from Chelsea and to a lesser extent, United. I think it’s a strong league this year (time will tell if I’m correct) with a good few outside the big six looking pretty bloody strong.

After seeing all the teams play I'd be absolutely delighted with 17th.

The likes of Wolves were meant to be one of the weaker sides in the division!

I think you are right. Seems to be a really strong league this season.

The speed and athleticism of every game and the size and power of the players

Incredibly difficult for all of the promoted teams

Really impressed with Wolves - aside from the fact that they couldn't score - and had them down as likely relegation candidates

The scores this weekend suggest a lot of goals are going to be scored - can see that dragging the likes of Everton into the mix at the bottom but the gulf between the PL and the Championship seems to have widened even more whilst we've been - briefly - away

No limit on my ambition, 17th.

After watching highlights of this weekend’s games, it’s probably better to think who we’ll finish higher than??
Can see Luton, Sheff U, Fulham and Everton below us. But then a couple of good signings for the last two and all that’s in the air!

2/3 on MNF have us going down, Carra swapped us with Wolves after last night

Spurs, villa at home and forest away , good chance of some points there I think/hope. Tbh you can never tell, nobody had Brentford down for some of the results they got early last season against better teams (on paper), or even Brighton to a lesser extent.

As VK says, we will only get better and better as the season goes along...
