Bloody hell, that's a decent bench. When was the last time we had one that deep?

Had no idea what team we'd put out and I'm still surprised!

Only real surprise for me is Vitinho instead of Zaroury.

Makes sense, both wingers have pace to get back and track midfielders

No Taylor on the bench.

Surprising team. Think it will be 4231 still with Al dahkil left back and Vitinho wide left giving him some support.

After being linked with about 400 wingers over the summer I did not expect Vitinho to be in the starting line up for this game.

How much of a vote of confidence in Koleosho to be on with all that lot on the bench behind him. Very exciting

Hopefully I'll feel as elated tonight like I was after last season's opener against Huddersfield - UTC !

5 at the back, leaves Cullen and Berge with a shed load of work

First game of last season, Kompany sprung a surprise with a winger no-one expected to be in the starting line up.

I suspect that will be a fluid 3 at the back with Roberts and Vitinho as attacking wing backs/wide defensive midfield. Kompany likes to see 2 groups of 5 for the most part with an extra player being released to the other bank when we need to try and overload.

Surprised Muric is not in goal after his performance against Benfica
So good to see CuLlen back thought he might be injured

So the pre-match interviews are very different
Pace and The Watts have all been interviewed at the Sky table, discussing stuff like the documentary, the Watts on why they invested in Burnley etc
Carragher and Neville have been in the Royal Dyche too
Our owners are very much willing to be in the spotlight when required and I think it’s very good

Not sure about Muric being dropped for first game. Think he earned the right to start the first game.

We have some pace in the back line so they might be able to catch him.
