Why automatic?

Hello, I offer lessons around the Burnley and Pendle area in a manual car if you’re interested?

Intrigued why you would restrict yourself to an automatic car in the UK?

I drive both, ones obviously easier but without looking the majority of the cars here must be manual.

A lot of cars are automatic. Manual cars are very slowly going out of production so why bother?

I've taught a couple of people to drive & they have struggled in a manual due to the gears & clutch control element, basically if you want to spend less money on lessons & want to legally get on the road asap & ultimately drive easier you can see why automatics are appealing despite being restricted in choice.

More and more cars are now automatic and are just easier to learn in. It's not as restrictive as it once was. If you want to learn to drive quickly and it's not essential to drive manuals for your job etc then go for it. If you live in a busy city, automatics are a better choice imo.

I can understand that the idea of manual cars seem to scare people but I think I got around it after the first lesson or so. Clutch control, uphill starts and so on I don't even think about anymore.

I currently drive a manual, but I do miss my automatic - and I know I could jump in any car and drive it competently. Why wouldn't you want that?

Going from a manual to an automatic isn't a problem it's a problem the other way around when you've been driving an automatic for years & go on to a manual even when you passed in manual, having a practice in a quiet car park is advisable for an hour if you hit the road straightaway in a manual you could end up stalling all the time.
