Jamie Carragher really is a knob, the most boring pundit ever.

I usually switch on close to kick off but I’ve had the whole coverage on today in the background. I can’t believe there’s literally an hour of Carragher and Neville dissecting the weekends games in tedious detail.

Watching now… does the screen need to be so big? The presenters look uncomfortable when they're stood in a square.
It was genuinely better when Keys and Gray did analysis. You don't need a futuristic green screen studio.

At least they can reach the top if they need to.
The production quality of that clip is almost like a college production, is that normal for beIN Sports?
It seems to me all these football shows are trying too hard. Remember when Carragher used to put on a VR Headset?
All you need is a desk, touchscreen and overhead camera. Instead, everyone looks tiny and isolated stood to the side of an IMAX screen. It's like Covid all over again.

Aye. Great life for a pair of oddball bigots though. Just phone in a TV performance a couple of times a week and live in the sun with your daughters best mate.

How is that yellow for Martinez not a red?
Compared to Anass, the ball was over a yd away, he is out of control, leads with his studs and cleans the guy out through his ankles.

Wolves are another example of PL team that are deceptively massive. Reckon there’s only Neto who’s under 6 foot.

Wolves looking up for it despite all their pre-season disruptions. No surprises from man u. Same old distinctions i evidence.

Antony gets past his man and you think great. Bare minimum for someone who cost so much. But still great.
And then... genuinely one of the worst balls into the box I've ever seen. No direction, no pace, no idea.
I would say it happens often but it doesn't, because he barely ever beats his man.

The worry is that Wolves also look capable of doing that to us if we re not at the very top of our game.

No surprises for me with Wolves.
Gary O’Neil is a top manager.
Going to be tough this season.

Wolves have done a good job in defence up to now. They have kept Rashford quiet for most of the half and stopped them playing tippy tappy through them.

The BBC commentator said: “Alex Ferguson was asked in 2009 if City could ever go into a derby as favourites. He said, 'Not in my lifetime', now it's every time.” United have not won a Premier League in over a decade.

Wolves have been Wolves…
Look decent from box to box but zero cutting edge.
Rashford will have one moment of quality and United will win 1-0

A fair few on this board thought they would be in the relegation battle.

They do but what is their squad depth? I read on their site that they think they have an excellent midfield.

Yes Wolves look good. Well organised and cohesive at the back with a real threat on the break. Their strikers aren't impressive tonight though.
As ever, bottom 10 sides in the PL live and die by their midfield and their double pivot is strong.

Wolves have got better and better as the game has gone on. Man United have been clueless, not sure what they're trying to do. But they'll get a pen and everything will be okay.
