Ben Mee- Peter Crouch podcast

Post by Inchy » Wed Aug 23, 2023 7:26 am

The latest Peter Crouch podcast has Ben as the guest

Not listened to it yet but should be interesting to hear about his time at Burnley.

What a player and leader he was for us, and I think everyone is happy to see has continued his success since leaving us

When you get past all the irritating preliminary banter, there's quite a lot of encouraging stuff in the podcast - not least from Peter Crouch who speaks very highly of the club and the those of the changing room. He says that the players were much better technically that their reputation suggested before he arrived.

He may well be speaking highly of the club, and of his fellow professionals - but there’s something lurking in there…. To be fair to crouch tho, he was always a better footballer than his size suggested he would be.

As for Ben Mee…. A fine young man who I was very proud to have as our captain. Wish him nothing but the best in everything he does.

I think we saw that under Mike Jackson after Dyche had gone. Unfortunately we had no real goal threat.
