Thanks for the heads up BS, I'd missed that one. Like you say almost stealing money, even if Paddington doesn't get it done he has plenty of other opportunities. My big hope for the day is Intrinsic Bond in the first, backed it @10/1 last night with Bet365, it's now 9/2, but it's a cracking race, not many of the 20 runners you could safely rule out.

Bet365 have done it again. Paddington at evens.

Let some of my mates put £20 on and the rest £10. Depends on how much you bet/win I think.

Just missed the first race but backing Cogitate in the 2.25. I went to Newbury last month and had a bet on him and he came in at very good odds so feel I've got to stick with him. Charlie Hills had the first race winner I see - so even more reason to stick.

I went to this meeting 4 years ago along with taking a few days in Burnley (there was a test match in Leeds at the same time I recall). That was my only visit to York races as I live in the South so Newbury, Ascot, Sandown, Salisbury are my usual race outings.

Quinn has 4 runners at the meeting, first runner came 3rd at 12-1, despite an awful draw.

Kerching Ryan Moore didn't need to wait for Paddington. Continues wins 3.00

Paddington you would expect to win but 8/13 to Evs in this race is too short for me, granted he is the best horse in the race but this will be his 6th run since May with Mostahdaf having run once in the same period.

Still expect Paddington to win having said all that but it is a watching race for me.

Was at York yesterday with the wife. Courtesy of ITV7 and skybet.

So went sat in the Melrose suite. Had a cracking day and even had 4 winners!!

Paddington was going to lose at some point unfortunately. And had no legs yesterday in that 4 horse race.

I had to have a punt on vintage clarets, would have been rude not to.

The Nunthorpe looks a cracking race and at the price I'm having a bit each way on Karl Burke's Dramatised. It won the Queen Mary and the Temple Stakes and you can forgive it's run in the Kings Stand where it was drawn on the wrong side and raced in a group of three. It's not best drawn again today but the pace looks up the middle and if Tudhope can latch onto them it can run into a place at a big price. Easy sat at a keyboard innit.

Twilight Calls is worth an each way punt. As soon as Dettori is riding for someone he doesn’t regularly ride for in a group 1 and is priced over 10/1 that is always the one for me tbh. The run on Mostahdaf was brilliant and I wouldn’t put it past him to nick another one.

That said Highfield Princess will take some beating at York.

Iv done Highfield Princess & Quickthorn double.

Good luck with that one. Quickthorn was very impressive at Goodwood but I’d be a bit wary of the better ground and different track. I don’t think the other jockeys will let Tom get so far ahead this time. Reckon pretty much any of numbers 1 to 5 could win the Lonsdale and the prices are short because of just 7 runners. Would take Dettori again for the placepot.
