Visited Belfast last month for a weekend, Friday night to Monday afternoon. City centre pubs we visited in the evenings had doormen who prevented anyone wearing a replica football shirt from entering, My son is an Arsenal fan and he was wearing an Arsenal away shirt and doormen at several pubs told him that he wasn't allowed in because wearing a club's football shirt incites trouble.

Other than than football clubs in the Irish League, there's 3 main football clubs followed in Belfast - Liverpool, Glasgow Celtic, and Glasgow Rangers. Each have their own shops in Belfast City Centre that sells club merchandise. Additionally, Glasgow Rangers have a Supporters Club on the Shankhill Road and Glasgow Celtic have a Supporters Club in the Falls Road area. It's understandable then why pubs don't want customers to wear replica football shirts.

I'd suggest that you don't wear a Burnley replica shirt during your visit and expect to get into city centre pubs in the evenings.

Absolute corker of a tune.

Orbital are playing the Piece Hall tomorrow night, coincidentally.

Lavery’s is probably the best for watching any football, also the Empire just around the corner from it. The harp bar in the cathedral quarter is pretty busy with a bit of live music, a few decent bars beside it too. Would also recommend Robinsons near the europa hotel for visitors.

If you don’t visit The Royal Bar on Sandy Row have you even been to Belfast?

In answer to the OP’s question, legend has it there is a Burnley pennant behind the bar in the Barrington Rangers Supporters Club if you can find it!

East Belfast had a youth team that used to wear Burnley kits at a time, not sure if they are still going.
Haha good luck with the Royal bar, few "characters" in there.

Brilliant City.

Spent a lot of time there with work over the last 18 months.

Just walk round and you’ll come across loads of decent bars and restaurants.

Check out St George’s market if you get chance.

Lisburn Rd/Malone Park area is well worth looking around too.

Take a black taxi tour of the murals around the city, both Republican and Loyalist combined. Well worth it if into history.
