Clarets Motorcyclists

I'll be setting off for Sunday's game tomorrow. Train strikes makes travel from Sussex nigh on impossible this weekend, so I have decided to ride up on my motorcycle. It's a 560 mile return trip so not one to do without some consideration...hence my overnight stop on Saturday.

Got me thinking how many Clarets fans are bikers? I help run a motorcycling club here in the south and edit the website www.howlbikers.org There is loads of biking stories on there including a My Favourite Rides feature that as somewhat of a northern bias.

Moving forward I am hoping to return to Lancashire after a gap of 42 years...(our house sale is stuck and going nowhere at present) anywhere within a hour of the turf will do...bit I'm thinking could Clarets Motorcyclists club together for ride outs and Clarets chat? I'd be happy to get involved even prior to my relocation.

My bikers email is howlbikers@gmail.com

I would also be interested. At the moment in the IOM for the 100th Manx GP. Unfortunately everything for today has just been cancelled due to weather. Currently I am at Parliament Square Ramsey and the sun is shining!!

I hadn't heard this evening's racing was off. My brother in law is there together with some of our howl club members. I was there last year and I loved every minute. Thanks for your reply. Please get in touch via email UTC

I raced at the Manx gp in 2012. At present Mrs FZR &Myself are currently in the middle of a move back to the UK from France. We sold our French registered bikes so will be purchasing replacements when we get back.

Hi, I'd love you to give me your thoughts on Oliver's Mount....if you could email me some pics and anything you'd like to say about the experience I'll publish it on howlbikers.org

My email is howlbikers@gmail.com (john)

I will head up the M1 tomorrow but may stay up in Lancashire for a few days (potentially not return until after the Spurs game) Should any one want to meet up for a ride out around the Forest of Bowland/Yorkshire Dales.

A couple of bikes here in N Yorkshire, but an eye problem's keeping them in the shed this summer. I'm walking distance from the Manor Farm Bikers Cafe though if anyone calls in there
