Yet again our small minority of Neanderthals strike again and let our beloved club down.
I very much doubt that any posters on here are in the "moron brigade" but perhaps know some of the f**k wits that are happy to drag our illustrious club down further. These scumbags need weeding out and be named and shamed. Finally, grow up you pathetic individuals......it's not big and it certainly isn't clever so crawl back under your rock and stay there. Rant over, sorry peeps. 🙁

The owners can try and do what they want to improve our brand but the select few fans try their best to spoil it

You can pretty much guarantee that the idiots that didn't this, did not attend the game and waited off a sode street.

After we got relegated against Newcastle in 21/22 I stopped 2 lads from throwing bricks at Newcastle fan coaches after the game. They were 13/14 and absolute scallies

Very poor.
You can imagine the wider media coverage.
Two games in to the season - three non- football related incidents which will highlight BFC’s profile badly.

My imagination thinks that these are stupid teenagers who think they are being clever, I would seriously hope that anybody that has grown up wouldn't be this stupid.

However the lighter incident on the opening game doesn't necessarily mean this is the case. 😕

There has been so much positive publicity from the Bank of Dave film, from Sky’s Mission to Burnley, from the US news companies and social media etc. All promoting the Club, the town and the friendly nature of Burnley people.

A few idiots from last week and today tarnish the reputation and undo so much good work.

The booing the knee is just as pathetic. The sight of young kids copying adults making the w@@ker gesture is disgusting. What other sport has that?

We fans need to improve.

Wasn't there today as Im away on a long bank holiday break.

After the City game, how was the taking of the knee observed today?

It wasn’t done today. I think that the plan is only for certain games.

It's only done when the premier league dictate it to be... 3 more occasions this season

Usually up for condemning anything and everything but honestly...someone throwing a brick at a coach at a motorway junction isn't necessarily even a Burnley fan, never mind someone who's been on the match. Get them found and dealt with but I can't relate this to the idiot who chucked a lighter at this point.

Attacked at J10 on M65. Rishton.
But I was expecting from the report that it would have be somewhere near Burnley, not on the edge of Blackburn.
Can we be sure it was our fans not rivals trouble making?

Why? We got beat fairly and squarely by a very good Villa side. There is no rivalry and no animosity between the clubs (and even if there was this would still be unacceptable).

At times we really do play up to the destitute dingles tag that we are tarnished with.

Is there anything out there to suggest a ‘fan’ did this, or just some mindless idiot that has nothing better to do?

I'm bemused by this, if it makes a difference, do it every game, if it doesn't, don't do it at all.

Why would a random person brick a coach that just happened to contain the Villa team?

You're the one on the force not me so I guess you can confirm how often random coaches are bricked for absolutely no reason. I get that sentence sounds sarcastic but I am actually hoeing genuine when I ask.

Don’t condone this at all but cannot remember the coverage of our fans coaches being bricked and fireworked’ when we got beat there in the cup a few years back. Loads of our coaches came back without windows that night and kids/elderly were being shielded by other fans from bricks etc being thrown into the fenced coach park from the embankment next to it. Literally sitting ducks to be pelted with bricks and nothing was done.

Maybe it was a fan who decided a few years later to do it back (not that either of these times were right or justified)

I see mindless vandalism every day with absolute no reason behind it, apart from the person being an idiot. Or drunk.

I too have been on a coach bricked at villa, on the carpark with the alleyway at the back of the park.
Remember telling my son that I had not seen this since the 70s.

Had it happen twice there - 05/06 in the cup when Kevin Phillips scored was the worst time when we were literally stuck in the fenced off car park though.

Anyone know any actual details ? Has a brick been thrown as coach stopped at lights ? Sounds more like a local lunatic than a fan type incident ? Though surely it’s BFC related one way or another .

Would it be so hard to give them a police escort the 2 miles to the motorway?

Surely it should be standard anyway?

I'm 99% certain that this isn't a planned attack by fans. Certainly the peasants that carry out that sort of behaviour in that area of town are not paying fans. Probably interrupted their drug deals

Maybe a controversial opinion what I am about to say. And I absolutely love Vincent Kompany and the direction he is taking us in. But when you tell fans we need to make visiting Turf Moor like Hell. Some idiots are gonna use them words to be mindless idiots and do what they think is making the place hell. When he said it I worried stuff like this may happen. Not as severe but actions which the club would have to defend, I was more thinking fireworking visiting coaches and such.

Just out of interest, I wonder if anyone else’s vehicle was bricked by these morons? It was probably kids who did it, so were they specifically targeting the Villa coach or just bricking vehicles in a large volume of traffic?
Not making excuses for it though. And disappointed that it happened in our town.
