The sunshine and not wasting money at the food kiosks in the stand.

( playing positives we already knew from last home match ie Foster, Koleosho and Larsen looking good and knowing who is the better keeper).

We have a manager who is not rigid and prepared to change tactics. Did not work today at half time but he will be wiser as a result

I can’t decide what he saw in that first half that made him think we needed to go to a back 5

This. Amdouni offers the square root of **** all at the moment. He will improve no doubt but right now we need Cullen Berge and Brownhill (or Cork) in the middle otherwise we are going to get very little out of any games because teams will let us have the ball, cut off options and hit us on the transition.
Amdouni did really well when he came on at Forest so that seems a silly statement.

Amdouni was the game changer at Forest

Yes he’s been totally outplayed by three premier league managers so far … I hope he can learn quickly

The 23 Rovers fans who went to Plymouth had a longer trip home than most Clarets but they lost by 3 to Plymouth not Spurs

Koleosho looks like he could be the bargain of the century.

Foster is genuinely a PL Striker.

We have another 35 games left and there’s plenty of time to get it right.

I think there's loads of positives. As others have said Foster, Amdouni and Koleosho but we look to me to have bucketloads of attacking talent. If you'd said 3 months ago it would be hard to see a place for Zaroury and Benson in our team it would have sounded crazy but right at this moment I think it's the case.

Obviously there are improvements we need to make but I agree with Kompany's assessment that we look good at the end it's harder to look good at. Defensive improvements seem likely to me based on the players and coaches we have.

What a talent Koleosho is. If he stays injury free and continues to have the right guidance he could be a superstar.

Foster looks like a Premier League striker.

Despite being overpowered in these games, we are creating chances.

Oh and it only took 3 games for my opinion that Foster is better than Weghorst to be proven right. That's a big positive

Zeki played well and unlucky not to score
Once we get Zaroury and Benny back and stop thinking Roberts is the answer at full back we will be fine
Personally I would always start Jay at half time.

For me the late goal was a reward for all those fans who stayed on to the end of the game. Despite being four goals down it was a defiant gesture from our players.

The other was the lovely drive home across the Pennines in the evening autumnal sunshine.

Foster looks a completely different player to what we saw last season. Amdouni has a good touch but isn’t in the game enough. Koleosho is going to be some player. And Kompany must now see that he has to have Cork and/or Brownhill in that midfield.

It's another game played and the best way of learning is from your mistakes.
The lesson for the players yesterday is don't shoot yourself in the foot just before half time.
Deservingly level mins from half time and first we concede a dangerous free kick from flying in , then a midfielder unnecessarily gets caught in possession leader to going in behind.

Some very good individual performances from Luca and Foster and Amdoui more in the game.

Average age of our starting 11 was a little under 24 years of age yesterday.

Scope for progression and improvement.

  • Both our goals were very good
  • Even while 4 goals behind, we kept pushing to get 1 back
  • We controlled the first 15 minutes, their goal coming against the run of play
  • Koleosho again showing he's been a cracking signing with bags of potential
  • Foster now having 2 goals in 3 games, showing he has what it takes at this level
  • We havent even seen what some of the new signings are capable of yet
Son's first goal came directly from a mistake by O'shea. Not long after we conceded the 2nd following a corner, nobody's fault individually, it was a banger of a goal, but by this point we've gone from winning to losing and O'shea must feel responsible for the change in fortunes.
3rd goal Al-Dakhil loses the ball and O'shea is caught way out of position, Maddison breezes past him and scores. At this point heads have gone, especially O'shea, and goal 4 comes from us being all over the place.
Goal 5 is as good a through ball as you will ever see in this league.

Spurs played some excellent football yesterday. We won't be up against opposition this good every game. We won't make big game changing errors every game.
The defence will settle, the system will be tweaked and then some of these exciting attacking players we have will absolutely shine.

100% agree

If we don’t partner Cullen with Cork or Brownhill and play Berge or Brownhill slightly in front of them I don’t see how we won’t get completely over run.

Amdouni can’t get play as a 10 when we are as shambolic as we are defensively.

I suppose there's no point making reference to Amdouni's winning goal in the Cup midweek against PL side Forest.

They were clinical - ruthless finishing for sure and that's the level unfortunately. Just amazed that people are surprised at the gulf in both leagues ? Its been there for 10 years particularly a top 6-8 side in prem.
