This is what I meant by hopefully Vincent learns from
his mistakes. He’s, unfortunately, not recruited the players he needs to play that system so needs to change his plans.

Breyer - class prem defender all day long
Koelsho - has real promise will only get better
Al dakhil - still making mistakes , but battles and you can see he’s learning.
Foster scoring again.
Apart from that the learning curve is steep. Would start brownhill , berge , Cullen , need to be more solid at moment amdouni is a luxury player as someone else pointed out.. in addition i would start muric , his thoughts and passing are quicker than Trafford , as you would expect having played this system for a year prior.

Last time we got beat 5-2 we went away and looked a completely different team from that point onward. The same might well happen again.
Koleosho and Foster have started the season very well.

We showed we can score against Top 6 sides for the second game running
Another game against the PL best will accelerate learning

Keep 'em coming, Elisabeth. We've a lot to be positive about even though it's been a very difficult start.

You tend to learn more from defeats than wins - hopefully?
We have 2 or 3 players (Beyer, Foster, Koelsho) who look as if they could
be decent premiership players - hopefully?
We may have two or three more who have yet to feature much.
We will improve as the season goes on - hopefully.

This is all part of the process.
Of course there needs to be tweaks, but VK is principled, and this is how we want to play.
Fans need to accept that there will be defeats, some of them heavy.
Our players are young, extremely talented and will only get better. A bit of patience is required.
Keep the faith.

The guy from Bristol although only slight looks a bit of a ratter in midfield, unfortunately all the Premier League midfield players are built like brick sheds.

We're playing all these tough games where we're not realistically expecting to get (m)any points. Fantastic learning opportunity for all.
If we can keep morale and confidence up, we'll be completely fine.
Oh, and we've a couple of weeks to work on things (with those not on the international break).
Seriously, I'm a long way from despair....in fact I still think we'll not only stay up, but stay up, comfortably. (Famous last words? Jeez, I hope not)

Amdouni is only a luxury because we don't find him.
City reverted to the long ball against us 2nd half, because we pressed so well.
Villa played balls over the top whenever we pressed them.
Spurs do the same.
We've had plenty of occasions already this season, when teams are pressing us. Amdouni and Foster and Koleosho are all making runs across the backline, waiting for that long ball, and we don't play it. Whether it's lack of vision, or confidence, or just part of the learning process, we have to hit Amdouni with those balls, because he's shown the skill set that he can deal with them.

Positives, in only 3 games this season Foster has shown he's better than Vokes, Wood or Weghorst. He is a real all round player, and one of the few in the team who can mix it with the top players and hold his own. You have to be physically strong in this league, and not allow yourself to be bullied or mugged.

We’re creating chances against top sides.
We were worried who was going to get our goals at this level. I think we’ve got the answer.

We’ve probably played the 3 worst opponents we could have had in our first 3 games. All of those teams are either too good (City) or have the way of playing and specific tools to exploit our weaknesses as we learn.
The next batch of games will be much more suited to our strengths even if, on paper, some of them are just as difficult. We did well at Forest the other night and I think the other 3 can be at least exposed by our play if we work on our defending for 2 weeks.

Jack Cork was outstanding when he came on. Within 15 seconds he was organising, cajoling and running things. We tightened up and were still taking the game go Spurs.
Foster, really finding his feet
Koleosho, excellent
Brun Larsson needs to start as well
We desperately need a leader on the pitch as was shown today.
Berge looks tidy and composed, a bit more time and I think he will deliver

We look threatening going forwards.
Foster has really come on leaps and bounds, although sometimes I wish he wouldn;t come as deep!
Koleosho looks a real talent.
Think Brun Larsen is going to be a good player for us.
Good to see Brownhill getting game time back in the Prem.

Sadly none today. We already knew Foster was decent.
Spurs didn't really have to try hard at all and that's the worrying thing

This. Amdouni offers the square root of **** all at the moment. He will improve no doubt but right now we need Cullen Berge and Brownhill (or Cork) in the middle otherwise we are going to get very little out of any games because teams will let us have the ball, cut off options and hit us on the transition.

Well I'm very impressed by Zeki, pity his snap shot was just wide but his all round game, to me, is very good. I thought all 3 front men played well. Sander had a much better first 20/25 minutes than previously but after that, we'll it wasn't a surprise that he didn't start the second half. If we can just continue supporting the players even when things are going badly we'll all be ok. The crowd were very good today at not getting at the players. They could have done. That was very frustrating.

We are doubling the time when we concede the first goal so not many more games before we get to half time and beyond
Many city 3 mins
Villa 8 mins
Spurs 15 mins
