Absolutely agree. Just how fickle some “fans” are is unbelievable. As soon as the 5th went in I said this forum would be unbearable with all types of c**p being posted and not been disappointed tbh.

I doubt it, he's got his own big problems.
We've played 3 top sides, infact the best Premier League side (currently best team in Europe and probably the World) a very strong Villa side pushing under a good manager, and same with Spurs.. another big team pushing under a positive manager.

I'd rather we'd played Fulham/Wolves and Sheff Utd already, than Man City and Tottenham.

Interesting with Dyche, as he's never really had the money. Even at Watford, he did well with a team everybody expected to be in a relegation scrap to League One. Made them hard to beat, new owners came in and got rid of him.

Dyche seems to like the small budget/hard work/us against the world mentality. He kept going on about it midweek after the Doncaster game, talking about how it was a tough game and that Sky were only there hoping for the upset/for Everton to get beat.. he said it more than a few times. Bloody bottom of League Two Doncaster, and he's praising his lads for getting it done when everybody 'was' hoping Everton would lose.

I was praying for the Sky pundits to say 'but we did see an upset, nobody expected Everton to win'

It's a real shame some have this negative view of Dyche.

Yes it didnt end well and those last couple of seasons were drab but remember where we were when he took us over.

Without Dyche, we dont get years in the prem, we dont get "Europe" and a top 10 finish, we dont get Ings and Vokes, we dont get 23 undefeated, we dont get taken over, we dont make 70m on sales when we get relegated, we dont get Kompany, we don't get last season.

Yes there was positives and negatives, but his overall reign was one of success and this constant comparison is getting tired.

Clueless bloke sat behind me all of the game yesterday: ‘we would never concede like this under Dyche.’ How short are people’s memories? We lost 5-0 to Spurs under Dyche. We lost 5-0 to Man City four times under Dyche. We lost 4-0 to West Brom under Dyche, in one of the first games back in the Premier League, and two years later lost 4-0 again to West Brom under Dyche.

He was a great manager for us and he inspired some superb defensive performances, but new teams and new managers playing new systems in a new league are always going to suffer some beatings. We’ve got a tough first few games, of which we’ve only played three. We just have to hang tight, learn, and hope Kompany and the players aren’t so melodramatic as most of our fanbase seems to be.

Proper ********, not surprised it’s by you though. All this recent Dyche **** fest because VK has lost a few games in the PL is embarrassing. Dyche was relegated in his first full Pl season, VK can’t do any worse.

Also Dyches best signings here were the cheaper signings. Had absolutely no idea how to recruit from abroad or who to recruit.

If people are saying that Dyche would have us top 10 after spending the same amount after those 3 games, I think they might be fooling themselves. As a manager I have the utmost respect for what Sean achieved here, but he couldn't persuade Garlick to loosen the pursestrings could he?

Thank god there are still some rational posters on here.

I loved Dyche, still do, but it’s revisionist to say we didn’t take heavy beatings in the Prem under him.

Worth also remembering he got us relegated in his first season before establishing us. Exactly why we should back Vinny come what may.

Spot on.

If VK relegates us he’s done no worse than Dyche. Massive perspective needed.

Dyche was a great manager for us but had his flaws, not least nobody seemed to want to play for him/his style. He finds himself at clubs with no money for a reason.

I for one am grateful for what he did but one thing he wouldn't have done is throw in 18 year olds unless forced. He has signed a young striker for Everton but won't play him as he said he isn't ready. I've always thought that for a young player to 'be ready' they need to play in the first team to improve, even if it is only as sub. Koleosho will improve no end playing in the first team whereas he would probably be held back in the U21s. I also think he will hope we do well as long as it isn't against Everton.
