Seemingly any new "phenomena" or concept now gets a -flation suffix.
We now have
Shrinkflation
Scrimpflation
And probably many more.
Pick a word or identify any discernible trend and add the -flation suffic to copyright your new concept.
Mine is cortadoflation named after 'cortado' coffee. The trend it describes is the increasing numbers of ridiculously large swigging coffees available in your local coffee station/cafe.
The first law of cortadoflation is that the number of options for your coffee always goes up but never down.
The second law of cortadoflation states that these coffee drinks are largely indiscernible from one another.
The third law of cortadoflation states that you will be asked if you'd like to syrup pouring into your coffee to mask the flavour.

Taylflation
The longer he doesn't play, the better Charlie Taylor gets and the more desperate we are to have him in the starting XI.

Inkflation.
The larger a lady is, the more tattoos she will have.
Notice: I am not saying larger body size and tattoos are bad things. Just pointing out the correlation.
Probably got blue hair as well.
