Be pretty pointless given the members allocation should only be 67

67 people who potentially might never have ever seen us play away or even at home in their lives.
Starting to think the club view us normal fans who don’t spend hundreds of pounds every game as a nuisance.

Can't think why 67 people who've never seen us play would choose a game v Salford as their first game!

If they are some of our millions, or soon to be, foreign legion of fans then they may have got confused as we are playing the reds of Manchester

I've said it many times before, an inclusive system is selling to all ST holders first, then general sale. You can't get more inclusive than that. This closed shop, tiers of fans loyalty, is a load of ********.

So a ST holder who hasn't been to any previous away games should be on a par with one who's been all over the country supporting the Club?

It's you who is telling us some are more loyal than others. I think as many people as possible should have the opportunity to buy tickets. ST holders have committed their money to the club ahead of the season no matter what happens. That's loyalty.

Yep. I've said this many times before on here, I've had enough points to get tickets in the fisrt level, whenever I've wanted them. I don't have any problem with giving more people the opportunity to but tickets.
Why do you?

I just think the word loyalty should be removed from the system
Somebody could have been a season ticket holder for 50 years, been to 100s of away games, but maybe not as many in past five years, yet someone who only started watching 6 years ago is classed as more loyal
Just call it an away travel club or similar

And for being a loyal ST holder over the past 5 seasons they've been rewarded with 1750 points. Others who have been to some away games will have more points. Everybody has a chance of getting an away ticket but whatever system is used not everyone will get one.

Eh? They don't have the same chance at all, that's the point. I'm saying everyone should have the chnave, not everyone should get one.

What you're suggesting isn't having a loyalty point system but having a free for all There isn't 1 club in the PL or Championship which doesn't have some kind of loyalty points system.

Correct. The more people have the same opportunity to buy away tickets, the better. Why would anyone have a problem with that? What are you scared of? Unless you want an exclusive club, of course....
Irrelevant what other clubs have.

So somebody who buys a season ticket this year because they fancy watching the likes of City/Liverpool should have the same chance as someone who has followed us all over the country the last few years?

Not really sure of the main purpose or intention of the new loyalty scheme.
If the aim was to give priority to the same away fans who got priority on the old scheme then it’s job done.
The club really is pretty shambolic when it comes to anything to do with ticketing.

In which case the new system has been extremely successful in achieving one of it's primary goals - which was to not alienate the current crop of away fans who would regularly go to away games. What you fail to see (I think, but correct me if I'm wrong) is that now younger fans can also have a chance over the coming seasons to accumulate a realistic level of points which will also enable them to travel to away games with family and friends.
The old systems certainly was a much more closed shop than the new system, but you'll need to recheck in a few years to really evaluate the success or not after it has rolled over a few times.

Yes. Giving more people the same chance is much fairer to more people than giving a select few a better chance. I'm not bothered about missing out on ticket to another burnley fan as long as I have the same chance as everyone else to buy one. They've committed to this season, just as I have.
