Probably important to play this, OK our new players aren't yet bedded in but we need a win and we have nothing but last season’s top half teams apart from Bournemouth away and Forest away, neither of whom are mugs.

Dispatching Luton (yes I know, not guaranteed) would really help with young confidence.

Isn't there a rule that is a game is postponed, for the rearranged game to be on TV then the original game had to have been selected?

Though with this game, was it postponed before the TV games were picked? Sure it can be found online somewhere via a stream.

Would have preferred this in the New Year. I think we will get better and stronger as the season goes on, and (just like us) I think Luton may well see this as a (sort of) Cup tie, and their first chance to put some points on the board.
Hope I'm totally wrong, of course.

Massive run of games coming up after the international break until the next one;

Forest away, United home, Newcastle away, Luton away, Chelsea home.

Really have to get some points on the board.

The absolute bare minimum needed is three. Five would be great, six plus I’d be feeling a lot more confident about the rest of the season.

I've booked train tickets for Wednesday the 4th though, this is disgusting treatment of fans yet again!

The fixture list says it's on Tuesday 3rd October

Do Luton usually play Wednesday? Asking as I don't know.

I know we do Tuesdays when at home.

Should make getting tickets easier on a Tuesday night.

Monday will be chaos, everybidy scrambling for Salford and Luton tickets I imagine.

wont be on TV as Champions League is on that week and no other televised games are allowed to clash with CL games

Sandwiched between Chelsea and Newcastle game. Their stadium delay has proved to be an advantage for them and not us.
