Floods in Hong Kong

There was a thread a while back about where people are based and I remember a couple of Clarets in Hong Kong. I was there for a year during the pandemic. There's been lots of rainfall in the last few days. A typhoon and the most rain there in 140 years.
Seen videos of water cascading down the steps of buildings however many storeys up. Friends have been bucketing water out of their apartments. Waist high in some places. Water pouring down escalators into underground stations.
Hope the Clarets there are okay!
(Not really football related, admittedly, but it is the international break...)

Thanks for the thought Pickles,
After the super typhoon last week (which turned out to be not so super) the Black rain signal went up on Thursday evening as over 6inches of rain fell in an hour! We then proceeded to have 1/4 of our annual rainfall in a day. With the drains likely still full of leaves from the typhoon, it has led to some spectacular results!
My family and I are based in Sai Kung and we were only slightly effected, but other areas in the New Territories, Sha Tin etc. Have been hit hard.
We have the dinghy and snorkels ready for our commute on Monday.

Thanks Charlie. Still raining at the moment, we'll all have gills if this carries on.
