So far in this weekends 8 fixtures there as been 99 minutes of added time.
In this time there has been;

5 goals
14 yellow cards
1 red card.
2 result changes, Spurs losing-won, Villa drawing-won.

Before this season added time would’ve been between 20 & 40 minutes.

I'm hope the players will figure it out soon.

I saw a post on the sheff utd forum blaming their own players for wasting the time in the first place. (More of the posts called the prem corrupt I should add)

I suppose it helps the big teams either way. Either the ball is in play more for them or they get time added on at the end.

I cant tell if I like the new system yet even though I do really hate that cramp/2 minute per set piece time wasting (even when we did it). I don't mind a good "take it in the corner" battle though.

I wonder if there would have been 12+ minutes if Spurs were winning 1-0 after 90.

I think its good.
Sheff Utd tried to do to Spurs what Rotherham tried at the Turf last season. Every time Sky went over their keeper was having treatment.
It's poetic justice

Be funny if a big club finds itself 1-0 down to a minnow and starts to play silly buggers with 15 to go, in order to get a fair chunk of time added on at the end as the players tire and the game gets stretched.

The added time situation is stupid as it only benefits the big clubs.

Sheffield were hard done to last night, the ref had a stinker in the game as a whole.

Apart from Benson's goal at Ewood and Ashley's first at home against the Bastards my favourite goal last season was Dervisoglu's winner against Rotherham. It is horrible to watch and it is stealing money from the paying public who expect to see 2 teams competing for as long as possible. Dyche's teams were terrible for this by the way.

For the record, I think the PL is worse than ever for being rigged in favour of the big clubs. Media, Refs, Attendances, VAR, sponsors, Location, etc, all add marginal pressures in their favour. It's quite natural, sadly.

Sheff U, however, wasted time ridiculously and I'm not surprised so much time was added.

It's a good step in the right direction to time wasting
