Last time was Leeds away in covid season. He should not be reffing Burnley games. Hates us

…This is why Dyche complained to the FA after that Leeds fixture. Never reffed us again since (a season and a half) until today

He’s an egotistical nob.

Couldn’t wait to disallow the goal and send Lyle off.

Drama ref. Swayed by the crowd. Knew he hadn't changed his ways with that harsh booking he gave Trafford. Pantomime knobhead.

Never a handball and play acting by the defender to get Lyle Sent off We need to appeal this red card

Unfortunately, to overturn a red card, you need clear and obvious evidence that the red card was wrong. Don't confuse red card appeals with VAR where decisions can be made and unmade on a whim.

He was subject of an official complaint from Notts Forest three weeks ago. He shouldn't have been referring tonight.

you need to watch the replay from the half way line camera - it's a full blown assault by Foster, it's a fully reserved red card

Perhaps if you're at the stadium it looked different. At first glance I had no idea what they were checking. In the replay you see that it was correct. Silly but those are the rules of the game.

No issue with the red card, but if they're checking for the elbow, should they also check for the defender holding Foster back and a possible pen? This is what I can't get my head round with Var

Spot on Foster was fouled and had arms wrapped him before he elbowed the player, the foul and penalty should of been given even before the stupid elbow by Foster

Absolutely ridiculous to book Trafford so early on without any initial warning. How much time wasting against us have we seen at the Turf go unpunished ?

Clearly not deliberate handball by Berge, anyone with any sensible football knowledge can see that. Berge was also fouled by McKenna but that was also ignored.

Silly reaction by Foster. It is a red card but again, he was clearly being fouled and this never gets a mention. He was most likely frustrated at his perfectly good goal being chalked off.

All in all, another refereeing and VAR sh&t show against us. I somehow don't think it will be the last one this season.

Was Foster's elbow really excessive force or brutality? Only saw one replay but it didn't look that violent to me.

As always, there’s one angle that makes it look worse than the rest. But I think deliberately elbowing someone immediately falls in to the violent conduct category.

Stupid from Foster.

A real shame as he's looked a completely different player this season. Hopefully he'll learn from it.

Yeah, that looks a lot worse than the replay I saw. Still not convinced it was excessive force/brutality though.

That's a red, Foster knew exactly what he was doing.
Never mind, we'll cope.

Hopefully someone says to foster to go down when someone is grappling you like that next time, got to be a bit cute in this league and buy a few pens.

Its a red but dont ignore the fact he is being held. Id have taken the red with a penalty to us. That is exactly what was shown. Our player fouled and then lashing out. Amazing how it can "review" the incident and no penalty given when the whole build up shows Foster being held.

No complaints from me re their goal or the red card but one of the angles of Berges “handball” shows Jones in the perfect position to see that it hit him so high up the arm it shouldn’t be a handball regardless of intent. VAR should never have stepped in and I’d love to hear the conversation but I doubt we will.

He looks to have the Arsenal Spurs game on Sunday.

I bet a **** decision like last night in that one warrants more coverage.

I am not convinced he was too bad ...lots of weak free kicks for both sides ...there was nothing wrong with the Forest goal and I would not have cancelled the Burnley goal but when he went to the screen they always change their mind..

Could not do much other than send Foster off and not enough for a penalty for me

The time wasting with Trafford...he would probably have got booked for time wasting at some point anyway

I would say the modern game is wrong more than the refs...

I would have been embarrassed to fall over from the Foster tap...
