Can't help but think that we missed an opportunity to have solidified our defence and also retain the ability to play out from the back by not getting THB back in the squad this season.

Trafford
Roberts, THB, Beyer, Taylor.

Would make a decent defensive unit with the ability to play football. Ah well!

With our high line I feel the slight lack of pace in THB, would catch us out even more than it already has

It’s his pace that was the issue.

There's a reason why he went to Championship side Southampton and a reason why after playing for us last season when the option became available to buy him we didn't take it up

Did we really miss him in the second part of the season when he was injured?
In 14 games without him we conceded 5 goals, winning 10 and drawing 4.

I’m a big fan of Ekdal so not having THB back doesn’t worry me. You have to ask why he’s gone back to the Championship.
