Playing well and not winning is a sure sign of relegation

Questions will start to be asked on a night when we don't outplay Manchester United, I think.

can outplay teams all we want but need to beat them. 1-0 defeats dont put points on the board

You taking the ****? I’m all for opinions but sensible ones. Beat by a fantastic strike but outplayed Manchester United. Let that sink in. Out-played Manchester United.
A striker away from hammering them

What a depressing write off of a season this is already shaping up to be after the magnificent highs of last season which are slowly being expunged from the memory bank.
I really don't understand what we're up to. All that money spent. Frightening times.
Can't be long before we're cut adrift.

The fixture list handed us a brutal start at home especially. Let's see where we are in a couple of months I'd suggest..

Someone take that fishing rod off him.
We were beaten by a world class strike and dominated large parts of the game

Got beat by a cracking goal , could have been 1 up if it didn’t hit the post, out played Man United for a lot of the game, it’s only early days and we are getting better each game with new players and the youngest side in the league

Dominated possession throughout and could easily have come away with something; we will be fine if we keep playing like that!

If we get relegated then have a poor start to the season in the championship

We’ve had a brutal start, and our young players have been given a rude awakening.
But it’s clear to see the progress made from the City game to tonight.
However, the pressure will ratchet up the longer we don’t get a win.
That Luton game is already looking massive!

We need to be patient for while yet at least.
I think it will take at least another 5 or 6 games before
VK will know what our best starting 11 is or will be.
And even then it’s a squad game so we’re talking
about our best 14 or 15.
Look at Forest last year. They managed to turn it around
but it took them some time.
I think we can do it but we need to keep the faith.

Tonight isn’t the night to overreact.
If Foster doesn’t get his daft red against Forest then we win tonight’s game.

Answer: never.
Even if we get relegated - just as it was in 2014 with Dyche. This is a really young team, and manager. There’s a lot of naivety but also a lot of energy and massive talent. We are going to be right in this relegation mix all year but we need to back them. They’ll keep getting better.

To be fair to the OP, it was posed as a question.
I won't be asking any serious questions this year. Live or die with him and his choices. Have faith. He doesn't have the opportunity to second guess himself like we do. We were concerned about things last year, too.
As long as progress is being made, I'm happy.

We’ve played the teams you would expect to be in the top 8 bar Notts Forest, we have improved rapidly and we have some serious potential, only 5 games in to the season, we will not be relegated and will prove the doubters wrong

One concern was the same as at Forest ,4 attackers surround Trafford and we do nothing about and they scored but it was fortunately disallowed.

Agree. Question is when will our support show up. Bossed the game on the pitch utd bossed it in the stand. Appalling.

Yes they did, but the atmosphere isn't great really. I guess our slower build up doesn't always help that but it certainly isn't "hell" like VK wanted.

That game said more about UTD than us. What a fall from grace, not a patch on the Alex Ferguson era.
We look to have improved slightly from the previous game, but we're still a way off.
The only question I have is; what is our priority as a football club, to make money on young talent or win games of football?
If it's to make money on young talent, then from what we've seen so far, we're going to be very successful.

I guess that big profits on players we improve is the only way we can really compete.
This of course depends on our scouts regularly finding new stars of the future.

We deserve to be on 4 points

Yes and so was our football. With Foster in or another capable striker I think we coukd have done them. What a player young Al Dakhil is.

Parts of our play tonight were breath taking. I really feel for this team-a very bight young manager, and some of the best Burnley young players I have seen in a long time. Several times it was said tonight this was the youngest team in the PL, but you have to wonder how much experience has been sacrificed-Trafford, Beyer and Al Dakhill have less than 15 games between them in the PL. Experience could have nullified United's goal tonight. We desperately need a win for confidence-VK sounded as if if he had been beaten up during his interview and was stuck for words, and players like Koleosho, Ramsey and a few more need the confidence to know more wins will come. On a positive we are slowly conceding late goals and the opposition are scoring later
