Its a 2-3-5 ....We've gone back to Victorian times

Muric
Vitinho O’Shea Delcroix Larsen
Cork Berge
Benson Zaroury Odobert
Rodriguez
Something like that I’d guess at. Given we’ll be camped in their half most of the game Larsen will likely play as a left winger in possession.

I'm not sure we need 2 CBs alongside 2 FBs
Play Delcroix as both, get Cork to drop when needs be
I expect we will have about 80% of the ball
...................Muric
Vitinho ....O'Shae ...Delcroix
...........Cork ......Berge
Benson.... Zaroury .......JBL
.............JRod Odobert

Muric
Larsen O'Shea Delcroix Vitinho
Cork Berge
Benson Odobert Zaroury
Rodriguez
Larsen providing width on the right with Benson cutting in, Zaroury staying wide left and Vitinho cutting inside.

I'm guessing:
Muric,
Vitinho, O'Shea, Delcroix,
Bruun-Larsen, Berge, Cork, Zaroury,
Benson, Rodriguez, Odobert.
What a bench!!

Evening all from what is a dry evening so far here in Galway but the storm is on the way and i hope the Clarets can brew one up tonight as well .
It's been some couple of weeks here in Galway as Galway United won the 1st division title with 5 games to spare , first trophy in 26 years and are in the semis final of the FAI Cup , love to see the Clarets in a final also .

Never much point in speculating what "it'll be" because it'll change every other five minutes.

A weird team but one that is ridiculously comfortable with the ball at it’s feet. Could be a really high possession stat for us tonight.

Great test of whether this starting eleven can play together and control the game seeing as it's basically a brand new team this season.

Cork as centre back - natural role for him I think in this team. Good opportunity for Berge to play in a role where he has the chance to dictate the game.

Why not in a game like this? He reads the game well, can head a ball and is a good passer.
All part of our developing fluidity and "total football" ethos.

Mascherano and Fernandinho, both played in total football sides, both were defensive midfielders, both ended up slaying it at centre back when needed.

Berge felt like one of those 'this could quietly be the signing of the summer' signings. Dodgy first few games, but they were against City and Villa so it's forgivable, but he gives us something no one else in the team does.
