There is nothing better than a beautifully pulled pint of Guinness...this new gadget claims you can have the perfect pint of Guinness poured at home even giving you the joy of watching the Guinness settle,the gadget is about £25...and 4 cans of specially adapted 568ltr cans around £8...anyone experienced a pint poured with a nitrosurge,should I splurge just shy of £40 or is this just a fad like the little plastic widget we had in cans a few years back.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are the cans available in off licences and supermarkets etc, or do you have to buy them online from the likes of Amazon?

I’ve got one and you can tell the difference between these and the normal cans with the widget. Obviously not as good as pulled pint but not far off

Nitrosurge cans are also a full pint unlike the “normal” cans

i'm partial to a guinness and found the nitrosurge to be a very good device, however i've not bought one as didnt want to be tied to having to buy the special cans at the extra cost, device would soon be thrown in a drawer.

the draught cans aint far behind in my opinion

Had one at the Riverside last season. Not quite a proper pulled pint. But certainly better than a normal can. If you have enough Guinness at home, I'd say it's worth it

Cans of Guinness are just fine as they are.

The Riverside ones will be the normal Surge cans and not the nitro surge. A few pubs sell Surge.

Surge works from the bottom of the glass. The nitro surge is different and for home use.

Never tried the nitro surge but an Irish bloke on holiday this year told me about his and said it’s spot on!

At Tesco

Guinness Nitrosurge 4 cans £8.25 = £3.70/litre

Guinness Draught 12 cans £14.50 = £2.75/litre.

Had what must have been the surge at the Fence Gate Lodge and was not impressed.
