Scored at both ends

Post by Herts Clarets » Fri Oct 06, 2023 11:44 am

There must be plenty of cases of a player scoring at both ends. But this game featuring Burnley must be a rarity, with 2 players scoring at both ends for Spurs. I had never seen this before.

I know things always look better looking back but as you say there are some seriously good players on that results sheet.

Chris Nicholl did it twice in the same match.

Remember Uwe doing it at Villa circa 75. Scored for us first then equalised late on 😁😞

I was always under the impression that Mike England scored both own goals in that game at Spurs

I agree with you Tony I thought England scored two OGs. There was controversy about the winner though as I thought Tottenham scored all three of our goals that day

I remember quite a few Leicester players scored at both ends after they won the Premier League in 2016.

Met John Pratt in hospitality at White hart Lane when Coyle was in charge.

Cracking bloke, spent plenty of time taking the p*ss out of us after the 5-0 defeat. Funnily enough didn’t mention this match!
