He keeps getting linked with the Brum job, although their win against WBA on Friday night must give Eustace some breathing space.

could be their new owners have seen the level of players VK has been able to attract and are going to try the same thing, otherwise yeah, square root of nothing to suggest he's better than Eustace at this point. It could hugely backfire on their new owners if it all goes tits up (which I think it will)

Unlucky Eustace. 6th in league with minimum spend. Not a name. Just a manager doing his stuff.

Hope the wheels come off for the Yanks. Will be just desserts.

Absolutely ridiculous replacing Eustace with a manger who has a 28% win percentage, purely due to who he is.

Same at Rangers if they appoint Lampard.

Eustace seemed to do a good job at Brum. Steadied the ship when they were a bit of a mess of the field and made a good start this season.

Rooney appointed. Shame for the old manager, probably made their best start to a season for quite a while. I can see this backfiring.

Looks like we have some of the better US owners around. Thank god they are not at our club. They unveiled him promising no fear attacking football and he plainly didn't have the players for that. Eustace knew this and got the best out of what he had. Whatever you think of Rooney as a manager that was never going to work.

Inevitable. I wonder what criteria they used to sack Eustace and appoint Rooney - other than his reputation as a player.

Easy to say serves them right - but it serves them right! Idiot owners.

Everyone said at the time what an incredible decision it was to sack Eustace and appoint Rooney. Seemingly everyone with an interest in football could see what would happen apart from the owners. Thick as mince.

I wouldn’t mind, but the very same club did the same a few years ago in sacking Gary Rowett and replacing him with Zola. I feel sorry for their fans.

Might have to be Saudi Arabia for Rooney if he wants to carry on in management. Never know he might be able to get Stevie G's job.

There was a period during Derby's relegation season when Rooney seemed to be doing a pretty good job. I wanted them down but I followed their results and he even had the loosest of cannons, Ravel Morrison, actually playing regular football.

However, this appointment was just plain wrong. It was a rich man's Watford-Dyche-Zola.

Why? 2 year contract.. shown the door after 6 months.. Quids in!!

very similar to when Zola was in charge there great players don't always make great managers, you would think the owners would have learned there lesson but obviously not ..

Wayne is obviously the big name that owners want but his "success " achieved at Derby was probably down to Rosenior who is now doing OK at Hull and looks like Burnley are keeping sweet.

Cabinet ministers have a decent record of screwing up one department then moving onto another and proceeding to screw that up as well. 😠
