Fantastic winger.Always got his crosses in from the by line.Left foot or Right foot not a problem. If he was playing today I think Guardiola,Arteta and Klopp would all have been chasing him.
Happy Birthday Dave.

Yes! with baggy shorts and socks round his ankles. As a lad he was my favourite player.
Happy Birthday Dave Thomas.

First time I saw him on the turf he was playing for Durham schoolboys.
My dad told me that we had signed him. Wonderful player to watch.
Was the making of Bob Latchford at Everton.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE.

Dave and Leighton James were my all time favourites
Dave could somehow cross a ball that in those days was so heavy compared to todays light soccer ball.
Just wish there was more old TV footage of those 70’s matches which Bob Lord made sure there was very little coverage at Turf Moor.

Many Happy Returns to DT, same number of years as me now.
Terrific player he was and, as already mentioned, a particularly excellent crosser of the ball.
I have a mate who is a QPR fan and their fans are equally fond of Dave.

He could drop a ball pin point on a head. Really exciting winger. We've been blessed with some great wingers and he is right up there.

Hope one of our present crop of young wingers turns out to be half as good as Ticer Thomas.

Happy birthday, Dave.
One of the best wingers I have ever seen.
Below: one of his best performances. Completely took apart high-flying Coventry with help of Bob Latchford.

What a terrific player Dave Thomas was - to this day I can't fathom why Adamson wanted him off the wing. The best crosser of a ball I've ever seen at Burnley and I've seen a lot of good wingers.

David wasn't just a great winger but a lovely guy, pity we had to sell him.

A perfect example in that link of how Latchford benefitted greatly from DT.
