I very much doubt that. He will be set up for life if he isn't silly or obsessed with a fantasy lifestyle.

How I wish his beautiful strike against the fiddlers had been the winner. A clean a hit as you’ll ever see.

Suffered with injuries, released by Bournemouth at the end of last season and unable to find a club.

Me too. One of my favourite ever goals and the absolute opposite of the fluke of an own goal they got for an equaliser.

An absolute belter

Very hot and cold. On his day absolutely superb, but you could never rely on a performance

Read a piece on him not long ago and he does an awful lot for charities in his area. Bar the odd silly mistake like getting caught drink driving he does seem to be one of the good guys

Another one of those players to add to the collection of “they are only x years old ”

Great player, can score from a corner. Had a much better career than his buddy Zavon Hines who also is retired now.
Will always be remembered for his goal vs Blackburn Rovers.

He certainly won’t be struggling for money. Good luck to the lad on his retirement.
Another player to file in the same box as Theo Walcott, Andros Townsend, Nick Barmby et.al. Plenty of promise but couldn’t deliver week in week out.
