Why did Taylor run away from his man then? Very bizzare

Solid save by Brentford after we gave them the ball to run with.

Can't even pass the ball

Every time in possession we look scared

This is going to be a very bad season.

I’m afraid Vincent has got it all wrong this season. Love him to bits but he has overestimated his players and underestimated how hard the Premier League is. Coylesque so far!

Exactly?

Watch any game of his since he came to England and it’s the same

Terrible in a two, very good in a three 🤷‍♂️
That’s the thing. He excels in the advanced role in a 3. He either plays forward in a 3 or doesn’t play at all, surely?

Absolutely, but Trafford let it slip under him. Luckily O'Shea was awake.

He’s playing in a three today with Amdouni and Cullen. Left sided 8. Surprised people haven’t clocked onto this yet.

Sounds like my train being cancelled has saved me enduring one today, but….Brentford are a top 10 side (last season), a good side, we looked better at Luton and Forest.

We will also be better with Beyer and Ekdal back. Vinny though is struggling to adapt more than any of the players to this new level, four up top here is silly imho. Needed Brownhill with Berge helping.

We're all over the place at the back.
Slow on the ball.
Confidence seems to be pretty low.

Apart from that, we're doing ok.

Trafford good save! :D

Trafford seems just an average Championship keeper at the most.
Completely overpaid for him.
Money pushed straight down the khazi.

I just can't believe how far backwards we've gone this season.

The summer **** up was off the scale and we're left with a load of crap players who we've speculated on.

Shite.
I got pelters for this.

Was painfully obvious that we made a cockup before a ball was even kicked.

A masterclass in what not to do after promotion

He should make 4 subs at half time.

Cork, Brownhill, Redmond, and Zaroury for Amdouni, Berge, Tresor, and Odobert.

Brentford have won only one game before today and have an almost first elevens worth of their better players missing. They’re making us look like a lower league team in a cup game. It’s embarrassingly bad.

At least after today we can finally do away with the b0llocks that we shouldn't be winning games against sides we've played so far.

We're just shite. That's all there is to it.

The whole of the summer was one huge, and very expensive, cock up.

God knows what we thought we were playing at.
We obviously give the manager the reigns after how successful his recruitment led effort had been the previous summer.

FFS sort this out - the midfield is atrocious!

I don’t think he’s the answer necessarily but I’d seriously be considering playing Jack Cork. He may be in the twilight of his career, but he’s the only one we have with a bit of nouse.

We're not even winning many headers when they lump it into the box. Getting bullied here. No leaders out there at all.

Got to be brutal at half time:

————————Trafford
Roberts….O’Shea…….Al-Dakhil…..Taylor
————————Cork—Cullen
-Redmond———-Brownhill——-Zaroury
——————————-Foster

We need Cork's experience and calmness, especially against teams like this. He might be a bit slow for the top teams but he can certainly mix it against the lesser teams.

With Beyer and Ekdal injured, and Maatsen not being replaced we are poorer on the ball at the back.
The only improvement we can make today is bring on Muric. It would probably be too late to make a difference now, and would definitely condemn Trafford to a psyche ward.

Berge has looked good going forward, but terrible defensively. Why would you ask him to play a role we know doesn't suit him.

At worst, taking Trafford off for Muric would show Trafford he's not immune to losing his spot and that he has to work harder and make better decisions. Can't have competition for the spot without it.

They just look utterly devoid of confidence, shell shocked - and this is how they’ve looked every time they’ve gone behind, hence the atmosphere being dogshit at Turf Moor.

Nothing a ******* drum fixes.
