Need to see a massive improvement from Tresor to justify keeping his position ahead of the likes of Larsen, Zaroury and Koleosho. Brave dropping Brownhill and putting Amdouni in.

Think it's a good team me, despite the choices on the wing not being the ones any of us would make. 0-3 to Burnley

Berge back in the holding position, where he is arguably weaker. Squeezes amdouni back in. Tresor needs to show an awful lot more than he did last game.

Hope it works out this time. They don't look that strong with Maupaybup top.

Yeah.
Seems to me at the moment that VK is throwing names in the air and seeing where they land.

I'd have preferred Muric, but nobody can be surprised VK hasn't. I really hope Trafford has a great game, heneeds a confidence boost.
The rest of the team can pick itself. Koleosho looked great, but he also looked like he needed a rest.
Tresor owes himself after the Chelsea game, he's obviously better than that, I think he was trying too hard, and that can cost you sometimes.

Come on Burnley

First time I’ve ever had my wallet emptied by a steward on entry into football. Apparently it’s a “condition of entry” that they can take you wallet and take stuff out. Looking for drugs apparently, but still, would rather they didn’t drop a keepsake from my late father on the floor and stand on it and almost ruining it.

What has the world come to FFS

I’d have put Delcroix ahead of O’Shea any day of the week.

Whichever line up we pick, my overriding thought is that the centre of midfield and defence doesn’t look strong enough.

We have very few options up front and the full back areas are an injury or red card away from being a massive problem.

I do think that we have the quality out wide (we should do with all of the wingers that we have in the squad), it’s just a case of getting the wide players bedded in and performing consistently.

January definitely needs to be another busy one, which I’m not sure that it really should be, with what we have spent.

Centre midfield
Centre half (unless we see improvements)
Striker
Full backs

Anyway, onto today and let’s hope that we put in a much better performance.

Brownhill the only one that remotely springs to mind and he's on the bench.

I'm very much in the camp which sees Brownhill as a brilliant Championship player, but someone who struggles much of the time with the huge step up to the level above. Having said that, he's the best we currently have at stemming opposition attacks and breaking up their play and how we can leave him out of our midfield when we're shipping goals for fun every week is beyond "brave", it's plain daft (imo).

I’m hoping that we might start to see that from Berge. Spice and I think a couple of others have suggested that may be his best position - further back and breaking up play.

I don’t see it and think he’s better utilised further forward. I’ll be happy to be proven wrong on that front.

It would be fair (and understandable) to say the vast majority of our squad have struggled with the huge step up

Central midfield has been our glaring weakness and now we drop a cm in Brownhill

:?

He's a steady Eddie, but far too quiet to be a leader.

The problem we had against Chelsea was the back 5 failing to find our wide men or forwards. If we **** around with it at the back we will get mullered again, BUT if we can find an out ball we can hurt anybody.

And Muric is far more adept at finding that "out ball" which is why most people favour him atm.

Not sure I’d go that far.

I’m not sure that he’s quite agile enough to manipulate his positioning at close quarters, which I think you need as proper ball winner. Get him driving with the ball and I see a different animal.
