Starting 11 against Bournemouth

Who are you picking? Kompany said he expects to have a similar squad which means there are no imminent returns from injury. The Athletic has listed JBG, Benson and Ekdal as doubts while Bruun Larsen is expected to miss out. There's no mention of Beyer which could be a good news.

My choice would be:

Muric
Vitinho - Beyer/Delcroix - AAD - Taylor
Cullen - Cork - Berge
Redmond - Foster - Zaroury

Mix of experienced players and the ones familiar with Kompany's system.

Why is Bruun Larsen expected to miss out? He got subbed off as we were 2-0 down, 10 men and Kompany took off an attacker for a defender.

As for my team

—————————Trafford
Vitinho——AAD————Delcroix—Taylor
—————————Cullen
Amdouni—Berge—Brownhill——Tresor
—————————Foster

This is the line up I’d go with apart from O’Shea for Vitinho at right back.
Be a huge plus if we could get Ekdal back fit and in for AAD.

Trafford
Vitinho Al-Dakhil O'Shea Taylor
Cullen Brownhill
Berge Tresor
Amdouni Foster

Based on the players VK keeps picking and trying to make work, I'd set them up as shown above in the 4222 shape that VK was supposedly known for using during his time at Anderlecht.

I think Berge is at his best when playing in an advanced inside right role, and Tresor (despite being absolutely bloody shite so far) was at his best for Genk playing in an inside left role I think. There simply has to be more to these two players than we've seen so far.

If it was up to me, I'd have Muric, Cork, and Zaroury in, but it ain't.

Tresor being absolutely bloody shite lately? I think that is being kind. He hasn’t been as good as that.

Tresor has done nothing to deserve a start. Will probably mean he does. The team selections have been disappointing for the last few matches.

This would by choice, were it possible. However, based on the current squad and injuries, my team would be;
Muric
O'Shea ADD Delcroix Taylor
Cork Brownhill
Cullen
Amdouni Foster Zaroury

I am absolutely amazed that some people have Tresor in their teams. He would struggle to get on my bench at the moment.

The only prediction I’ll make is that Trafford will be in goal and come 5:00 p.m. tomorrow night there’ll be loads of moaning on this board. I would love to be proved wrong of course.

No centre backs at right back
Cork has to play
Brownhill has to play
No experimental formations

It's Amdouni or Berge, I'd love to play both but we're not strong enough elsewhere.
Berge to start Amdouni can replace him late on, or Brownhill or cullen if we're behind after the hour mark

IMO we need to earn the right to be more expansive. Need disciplined players with some prem know how to start with, then hopefully open it a bit as game progresses.

He’s had two man of the match performances this season. How many you expecting 4? 5? 9 out of 9?

I would rather he had 0 MOMs, I think the majority have said he isn’t the main issue and that his shot stopping/ Goalkeeping is absolutely fine but all round he isn’t ready YET.

Lineup I would go with is:

Muric
Vitinho Beyer (if fit Oshea if not) Delcroix Taylor
Cork Cullen
JBL Brownhill Zaroury
Foster

Suspect Trafford will start and I am fine with that not much between the keepers overall just think Muric offers us more currently.
Wouldn’t mind Redmond starting at RW although I do find the option suggested on the Bee hole end podcast of him playing RB intriguing not something I had contemplated before. I have been thinking about alternative RBs for a while I had always thought Beyer when Eldal is fit but suspect we need him more at CB at the minute. Massengo seems to be playing RB for U21s and oregan Riley can play there as well, would they give us a more solid option with the ability to step into CM to help Cullen and Cork not sure not seen either play.

If none of our injured players are back then it’s going to be tough as I think one of our O’Shea or AAD needs benching.
I’d be tempted to try :
Muric
Vitinho AAD Delcroix (or Cork) Taylor
Cullen Brownhill
Redmond Berge Zaroury
Foster
JBL, Tresor, Amdouni

And hope nobody notices we have 14 players on the pitch.

I think we need to play 4-5-1. I'd play with Cullen, Jack and Brownhill simply because they're used to playing together. As I haven't seen any of our games this season I don't know what Berge offers but I'd throw him in as well. I know that offers little width but we just have to win the midfield battle and protect our defence.

We really need to avoid defeat tomorrow. I'd be bloody delighted with a draw.

No way Vitinho as full back after the last home game v Chelsea

Trafford

O Shea Al Dakhill Delcroix Taylor
Cullen Brownhill Berge
Amdouinin Foster Zarourry

Larson to come on as first wide replacement

I agree with a 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1

If we play 4-3-3 expect a loss

…………….Muric

O’Shea AAD Beyer Taylor

…..Cullen……Cork

JBL ……….Berge……..Zaroury

…………….. Foster

AAD AND O’Shea would be nowhere near line up if we had others fit for me. Needs must. We are really missing THB this season I reckon.

Bring kolo on for last 30 minutes or so depending on zaroury’s performance.

The Brentford one counts? Seriously I wouldn't of even given one to anybody that day.
I've said before Joe Hart got plenty of MOMs but got dropped and our fortunes changed despite his good performances(much better than Traffords)
It isn't just his performances it's splitting the fans, he isn't a presence an he isn't a character.

He might not be a character BUT he's bloody good at picking the ball up out of the back of the net!

Genuine question, why? We’ve shown we can compete at least - Forest away, Luton away, Man U home - with pretty similar line ups.

Think we need toughening up in the fanbase as well as on the pitch, or we ain’t getting anywhere.

Weirdly I feel very confident tomorrow. It will be the Bournemouth managers last game
