Not a good first half, lucky to still be in it. The difference between today and the last time we played at their place last season is night-day.

To be fair we've always been bad at throw-ins.
That is true  consistent at them, at least

Damn, we really need to step up our game. Almost gave away a goal at the end because they were so much quicker to the ball then we were.
They look a lot sharper.
We couldn't control the game after going ahead.
Come on Burnley, we can do better.

If it was ‘100%’ out of the area surely VAR spots it?
Please tell me that's not your excuse given some of the clangers VAR have dropped this season?

I did say I need to see it again but I saw it on the reply and it still looked outside.

Trafford current passing stats 8 completed from 20

I know some people are big on stats on here when it suits !
I could have told you that before we kicked off.

They press our defence so we can’t go short and then we the invisible man up top that can’t hold a ball up to save his life.

He was lucky that they didn't have the correct camera angles in place although admittedly it was very very tight

His passing is Pope levels.
Why does Kompany love him so much?

We NEED Muric

Awful, we only look dangerous when we occasionally run at them, but oh no we pass sideways back and launch it. Sorry VK you are getting this so wrong yet again.

Not sure if Trafford handballed it but there was no way it was denial of a goalscoring opportunity anyway.

It’s an absolute joke but you’re right. Should have been starting weeks ago, it’s clear to anyone our problems are arising from having no midfield control and our chronic inability to play out despite insisting on doing so. He would improve (but not fix) both of these issues. Might only get 60 minutes out of him each week but even still.

If he was 100% outside it’s not really a subjective decision.

A ball crossing a line either is or isn’t.

Listening to talksport 2, but dont think I have heard JBG, or Amdouini's names mentioned more than once all first half, whilst Zarourry, Vitinho, Cullen Brownhill and O'Shea seem to be quite involved. Sounds like their right winger Samedi is needing to be tied down as he is just running through us on a regular basis

The Trafford criticism is over the top. Muric is probably a better passer, yes, and I'm a big fan. But Muric, Trafford, or Pirlo in goal... Doesn't matter how good you are at passing if the opposition press effectively and if the people recieving the ball aren't good enough with it.

Started brightly but massively faded and just inviting pressure as ball is not sticking anywhere mainly due to an incredibly poor formation/ wrong personnel

Come on, lads. We're well in this game. It's inevitably going to be scrappy as both teams low on confidence, but we only need a marginal increase in performance levels and we can win this.

Still doesn't mean he didn't handle it outside the area.

Yes I have and looked tight. Just not sure how you’ve decided it was 100% outside the area unless you’ve seen an angle from overhead looking directly down. 100% indicates there’s zero doubt.

The number of times we go from having comfortable possession just inside the opponents half then end up with the ball back with the goalkeeper and under pressure is staggering. We end up then taking the risks in our own third rather than the oppositions. It’s really negative football and hard to see what the plan is.

The positives being Bournemouth don’t look good (although worryingly better than us) and we’re in the game. Big half of football needed and this team is capable of it. Not in any way confident that we’ll get it though.

Having seen the appearances that Rodriguez has made this year you are better bringing on someone like Larsen or Redmond instead of him, as he will offer very little and keep Andouini on. Time for one of our players to step up-it was happening on a regular basis last season, when a few had the ability to change the game

No idea how we survived the run of corners they had. Trafford looks about 5ft 9. Good finish by Taylor followed by a big error which costs us. Amdouni a passenger again. We struggle all over the pitch with our lack of height. And to compound everything Bournemouth have been atrocious and should be at least 2 up. Just got to get their shots on target

Well I used my eyes and made the decision that he was outside of the area. Quite simple really even for you to grasp.

You seem to be weirdly trying to defend Trafford, I'm not having a go at him, but after seeing it again I'm still firm that he was outside of the area.

Take the claret tinted specs off bud. We're awful it doesn't really matter.

Also agree that we need Rodriguez on, we need a real centre forward in Foster’s absence. That probably means Amdouni makes way, or possibly Zaroury.

The fact that we need to turn to Rodriguez is not a good reflection on our transfer window, and it’s starting to look like letting Barnes leave was a poor decision.

Berge for Brownhill please, he's not a Prem player, in the Championship hes a 7/10 at everything which makes him very good, in the Prem, 4-5/10 at everything.

Brun Larsen for either winger, probably Zaroury he's been quiet.

Trafford's distribution been awful and just means we're continually back under pressure. I've been giving him credit last few games but he's had a bad game so far. We just can't clear our lines- half of it is midfield retention but half of it today is trying to build up or play through a keeper who's struggling to find a teammate.

Vitinho done better than expected. Taylor doing fine until his error for the goal and since then gone to pot.

We massively miss Foster.

Need 4-2-3-1. Cullen and Brownhill must sit and help the defence . Annis hasn't offered much so switch Koleosho to the left and bring Larson on . Who is our goalkeeping coach ? From corners both Trafford and Muric stay stuck on their line even if the balls floated into the 6 yard box !
