Yes it was. Game needed a goal, let's see how WHU respond.

How things are working out Everton could get the 12 points deduction this season and they still wouldn't be in the bottom 3.

Watching the Everton game I don’t see us getting anything on Wednesday unless there’s mass changes on their part.

Looking at our players yesterday and Everton today it would be men against boys.

I’ve seen a handful of Everton games this season. They were nearly as bad as we are in some of their earlier games and look to have turned things around now - should this offer hope to us that we might come good as well?

As soon as McNeil, Calvert Lewin and Harrison got fit and into the side they have become a different team.

They have.
Let's hope the same thing happens with us when Beyer and Ekdal return.

I quite like Ekdal from the bits we saw of him last season but it’s alarming we’re hoping he will turn our form around.

Brilliant win for Dyche. Really struggling to find a third team we could finish above.

Can't disagree.
However, injured players returning and improving our fortunes are all the hopes we seem to have at the moment.

I think some of the Dyche revisionists are gonna have to eat a large slice of humble pie.
Phenomenal manager.

If anyone of the current injury list can help turn things around it’s Benson.
Plenty who are just benched for whatever reason who could step in and improve things but that’s all down to Vincent’s unfathomable team selections.

This is a penalty, but we see dozens of incidents like this every game. Why was this particular one checked by the VAR?

Perhaps the awarding of a penalty has something to do with ex referee Mike Dean now being part of the Sky commentary team.

Kompany made mention of this several times in the summer which lead me to think he’d try and recruit similar profiles. When we were getting linked with the likes of Lokonga, Vrankx and Flemming I thought it was promising, but just never panned out like that did it?

It's an absolute joke of a VAR decision for the penalty. There are similar incidents in most if not all games and that are never given on field. Having a bloke watching on video randomly pick one out once in a while to give a penalty makes the standard of refereeing less consistent.

Yeah me too.
He must have talked about the physicality of PL times in almost every interview over the summer. Now to see the players he's sending out there each week is truly bizarre. If was any other year, I'd say he was badly let down by the recruitment but it's hard to argue he wasn't driving it.

There we have Keane advocating that "he should have gone down and bought a penalty"
Disgraceful outlook and opinion, no wonder the game's going down the toilet.
