Clash of shorts colours

I thought that it is a rule that colours should not clash. Yet both teams wore a very similar Blue pair of shorts. As the home team, it should've been upto Palace to have got their strip right.

PL don't seem to mind this.
Both teams wore black shorts recently in our game at Brentford

It’s been like that in the PL for a lot of years now. The Football League ensured any clashes were rectified with a change in colour for the away team but they have also relaxed the rule in recent seasons.
Socks must still be different colours/shades hence us having to wear white socks at Brentford the other year when we wore the all navy third shirt.
